The way things are going there won't be that many Championship clubs (apart from the Baggies) close to the Hoof's home. Wolves and Birmingham look destined for the Premiership. I suppose Derby would not be too far away.
To be honest when he says he will move if they get relegated that sounds as if he still wants Premiership football but I don't think there will be too many offers. He is decent at Championship level but not quite good enough for the Prem.

Hoof had a blazing row with Mowbray last week. He won't be playing for them again. He adores this area and is desperate to stay within commuting distance. Derby have been mentioned as have Burnley and Preston.

There were also many Stokies that said Pulis would fuck the club up...doesn't make them right does it?
The PHW's should have known better than to throw their weight behind someone that simply wasn't worth it just to have the chance to have a pop at Pulis.
At least you all admit that you were wrong now though and it is a while since the Rimmers have rubbed your face in the dirt for a while for being utter, thick muppets.

There are a few problems for Carl to negotiate.
By my reckoning he's 2 years into a 3 year contract, and I seem to remember a rumour that the Baggies had trebbled his wage at Stoke, putting him onto something like 17K a year.
He could have had an increase when they were promoted. If he's on say 20k a year now, I guess that would rule out a move to the Championship or Belgium without a fair pay cut. His wage may go back down to the original level if they get relegated, but same problem applies.
I can't see him being taken by a Prem club or one of the promoted clubs, so it looks like he'll have to stay or go out on loan with a champ club paying a proportion of his wages.

Not good enough and never was. I know some of you will disagree because of his skill on the ball, but at the end of the day he was a defender who couldn't defend.
Remember Ric's 3rd goal against Brazil last year, when Hoefkens fell on his backside trying to tackle him.

Watching grown wankstains cry when Higginbotham muscled him off that penalty was quite a frighetning occasion. You know a couple of the daft bastards were hoping Higgy missed. The fascination with him by some was verging on the homo erotic.

Quite right Bayern. He had just had his hair cut and a lot of us thought it was Hoof who failed to stop Fuller but the video showed it was another player entirely. Hoof was further up the field marking our winger whoever he was that day.
I liked the Hoof but I think we have moved on. Maybe the Baggies will find out they need him when they get relegated - they'll lose a few other players and I'd have thought the Hoof would be fine for them in the Championship.

he hasn't had a chance has he?? Didn't he start their first ten or so games? Doesn't the fact that he hasn't suggest maybe those who see a lot of him don't think he's good enough?

I always liked him in his time at the Brit and IMO he would be a great signing for any Champ club but he is nowhere near Prem standard. Excellent going forward but can be dodgy at times when defending but at Champ level could cope defensively

Not really at the time he was the best right back we had! He was but he wasn't the fucking chosen one as many fans tried to tell us. I'm not sure how the people who loved him so much were so sure how good he was anyway. they seemed to spend the majority of games watching Pulis's reaction everytime their hero touched the ball!
