Not really at the time he was the best right back we had! He was but he wasn't the fucking chosen one as many fans tried to tell us. I'm not sure how the people who loved him so much were so sure how good he was anyway. they seemed to spend the majority of games watching Pulis's reaction everytime their hero touched the ball! Tbf Hoefkens could have beaten 10 men and scored with an overhead kick and that water bottle of TP's would take a hammering. Whelan, Wilko and Dicko seem to be the water bottles worst enemy now!

There were also many Stokies that said Pulis would fuck the club up...doesn't make them right does it? The PHW's should have known better than to throw their weight behind someone that simply wasn't worth it just to have the chance to have a pop at Pulis. At least you all admit that you were wrong now though and it is a while since the Rimmers have rubbed your face in the dirt for a while for being utter, thick muppets. Im not going to lie, you sound like an utter cock.............thats all folks

Diao got the water bottle treatment on Saturday. When he hoofed it aimlessly in the air when we were attacking, the water bottle was smashed on the floor.

Top player was Carl, and a top person too. Excellent going forward, and could defend - let's not forget he was part of our side that kept so many clean sheets in Pulis's returning season. Unfortunately not a Pulis signing, so was ignominiously and unfairly forced out of the club, something he didn't deserve. Certainly Pulis's lowest ebb, showing him up as the unprofessional man that he undoubtedly is.
I for one would love him back at Stoke, he's a step up in class even from the vastly improved Wilko. Probably not good enough for anything more than a lower-Premiership side, but thats all we are at the moment.

He nearly got the hat thrown on the floor treatment as well. ;D Only Tonge had the water bottle and hat thrown during his substitute performance against Pompey.

Just goes to show that Managers of professional teams who see players day in and day out, who see their strengths and weaknesses, and how they impact the team as a whole, actually do know best! Hoofers was at times great going forwards but Pulis saw his weaknesses defending and moved him on at the first decent offer...top management!

Well if he's that good, you would think Brazil would be using him with their defensive record.
Another good bit of transfer activity by TP.
Lovely guy but we have moved on.

On a purely frivolous and 'slightly gay' level I preferred Carl with his long hair and headband as he considerably improved the aesthetics of our team.
BUT SINCE I'M EXTREMELY HETEROSEXUAL
His missus is a really nice lady!

I thought he was an OK champs fullback and will find himself there again....TP's hounding of Carl out of the club didn't endear the boss to some at the time.

he'd make a decent right sided midfield player for us imo, likes getting forward carl does, TP wouldnt have him in defence, TP likes his defenders to defend, he'd b a decent RM though.
