I was born in Lancaster but thankfully my Dad came from Trent Vale so did the right thing and took me to the Victoria Ground. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Stoke past , present and future - whatever. End of. My son will can make his own mind up, I can only encourage and to see him hold his own in a Stoke shirt in a sea of Arsenal, Chelsea and a couple of Ipswich colours takes a lot of courage at 9 at a local suffolk footbal traiing club cause guess what - we still dont have a lot to brag about yet...... but if morons like the above continue to spout their rubbish, they will drive more away and we will be back to 2 plus years ago (and they were the good days compared to 5 years ago!) Easy to wear Stoke colours in Stoke - try it elsewhere on a non match day - takes pride and courage and shows both to the team and damn load of loyalty I do not get angry with fellow Stokies but this guy is moronic to the extreme dunna worry thee sen me owd tata. if thayt from kidsgrove thayt a stokie. hang on shunna thay be a vale fan then? ays rate thayt a gloryhunter ;D Oh bollocks, have been following the wrong club all these years ;D

Born in Asbourne - lived in Uttoxeter for 6 years, family moved to Smethwick, then Halesowen where I went to school. When married moved to Kingswinford (in dingle country).
Remember from young when going up on the train to the vic via Birmingham new street meeting a few Brummie stokies on the train then having to dodge the blues and villa specials and running the gauntlet on the way back.
Dad was massive stokie as was his father - he started taking me and me brother to the vic from 3 years old. I passed the mantel on to both my boys who were both born in Kingswinford and now they are massive stokies and have both been season ticket holders since they were 5 and we all travel up together.
Only dissapointment is my daughter who admits a liking for manure (well that cheating scum bucket ronaldo to be precise).
However nothing like pissing off the dingle and baggie lovers when your lad turns up in stoke kit for football training ;D

Born, raised and live in the Black Country, I blame my Dad entirely.
That said, given the choice was Stoke, West Brom or the Dingles, it's turned out fairly well in the end.

Born In Ashton Under Lyne.....have an older brother who kept trying to get me to support Chelsea.......I said NO ! " I`ll support errrrrrr Stoke City ! " , I was 3-4 at the time.........How right was my choice ? , I wouldn`t have it any other way. As I stated in a recent thread , I went into the shed end with him for our recent game , and despite all my efforts , I went up like an idiot when Rory popped the goal in.

Hmmm my story.. I have no alleigance to Stoke-On-Trent whatsoever .. Born and bred in Manchester.. So why don't I support any of the 'local' teams? .. Well because untill about 5 years ago I detested football with a passion.. Yes I had an Arsenal shirt (which was burnt years ago) which I had only to annoy my brother and dad (both ST holders at Old trafford and local ) ... Basically about 5 years my friend took me to a Stoke game at first I hated it and just went for my friend... Over a couple of months I began to like it and loved the singing and the buzz it gave me scoring and winning and how sad I felt when we lost! After about 6 months I was addicted to Stoke City football club! I love them.. I love the atmosphere and I love the Stokies!! I am an adopted Stokie and will follow them with sheer passion for the rest of my life! Call me a glory hunter or whatever you like.. I don't care CITY TILL I DIE!

i was born in the good old baby hospital in stoke, lived in clayton, been going stoke since i was 4 years old.
moved out of the area in 2003 to spend time with me dad in heathrow before he died of cancer, stayed in the area coz of work, but go to as many games as possible, petrol money etc allowing!
you can take the boy out of stoke, but not the stokie out of the boy ;D
its so good to be a stokie working in my office, ;D
i am the only 1 who supports my LOCAL team ;D

I'm from Manchester, Stoke are the only team Ive ever supported due to my dad being from Blurton and then joining the RAF meeting my mum from Manchester hence why I'm from Manchester. Went to my first Stoke game as a Birthday treat in 1993/94 season where we lost to Oldham or Tranmere and it was cold, wet and I loved it. You're definately a glory hunter* You come form Manchester and don't support your local team! Hahahahahaha! * For all those who're not bright enough to get sarcasm, this is a joke!

My Dad is an avid Stokie and has been following them all his life as did his Dad.
His dad introduced him to Stoke so my Dad followed suit taking me to my first ever match, versus the Fail at the Old Vic. I too have never lived in Stoke, I am from Southampton and always get asked the same bloody question... "Why Stoke?", its simply because they have always been my team and I hope I can pass it down one day too follow suit.
Loved them ever since and always will do. GOARNNNN STOKE!

this thread gives me great hope that one day a son perhaps will follow in the footsteps of a father in his loyalties, I just couldn't have a Reading fan or even worse a Chelsea rent boy under my roof, true he won't support his local team but i'd love someone to accuse him of being a glory hunter, now that would make me piss my pants with laughter ! Stoke City = glory jesus what ever next, Stoke City = misery and I love it
I'll be getting the red and white baby grows on pronto for any nippers

I was born in Shrewsbury, and I've never lived in Stoke.
Almost all of my family live in Stoke, my Old Man was born and raised there and brainwashed me from an early age. I saw my first game against Orient aged 6 and haven't looked back.

born in cosford and lived in newport, shrops all my life (unfotunately) but mum, dad, aunties, unlces etc. were all born and bred in trentham and fenton. used to come up to stoke every weekend without fail (as it's only 30-35mins away) to see my grandparents after we dropped my dad off at the Vic (he watched it with my uncle who used to commentate for signal). as soon as i got to the age of four he got a ticket for the family enclosure at the Vic and i've been cursed with a devotion to the club ever since Peter Fox came over to say hello to me when i was having a tantrum just before the start of a second half once!
