Great in Pre season, he looked like the Viera mould, but has disappointed me.

Seems like he has Whelan, Faye, Delap and a one legged Diao above him so maybe a month to keep fit elsewhere is a good idea. It's not like he'll miss many matches with us anyroad.

Best news I've heard all day. Hopefully with a view to a permanent deal.

He looked good on the right to me. He switches off too often to play in the centre but out wide he gets time on the ball and imo uses it well. Wouldn't like to see him leave.

last time i checked, one or 2 players have been known to score when they do shoot on goal. Him included !!!

Yeah, but he shouldn't be in the team, because he's an anonymous liability. As a midfielder, "shooting" is less important than "passing" and "tackling", neither of which he can do. In a Pulis team, "jumping", "running" and "winning the ball in the air" will all get you far, and he hasn't quite mastered any of those either.

i will tell Wayne Rooney, Critiano Ronaldo, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, etc etc etc, that shooting is not important and to stop right away !!

Just as a midfielder, it's not the most important attribute to your game. Would you play someone in the centre of midfield who does fuck all but has a shot now and again? Against Everton he scored a cracking goal but gave two away at the other end, and we lost.

hmm, wellas usual vandeurzen, you fail to read between the lines and understand the big picture. that fact that he seems to be the ONLY player on the team who does bother to shoot is my point, regardless of what position he might occupy on the pitch !! While i was listening to the Sunderland game on Saturday, i posted a quick thread on here about the fact that Camara actually had a shot on goal, more of a smart alec thread.Nnext thing i know everybody was posting as there was another 2 minutes later. Apparently, im not the only one who realizes that shots on goal by a Stoke City player are few and far between !! we seem to prefer to walk it in or head it in from a Delap throw.

You'd play Olofinjana then would you? In midfield? In spite of the fact that he's pretty useless at the basic fundamentals required to play there? Because he has a shot now and again? Yeah I wish I had your football brain

And for Diao his shooting if we can call it that is pathetic its nearly as worse than his passing. This my point on the manager how could we end up with such wank negative midfielders says it all really and not one is allowed beyond the half way line (Matteo quote).

Woah, jarhead..Matteo quote ??? I'd link that sharpish before you find yourself guilty of a tortious libelous action. Can't see him saying that, anyway

He did on radio stoke co-commentator saying that Pulis likes his midfield to stay in position and anyone who goes to far forward are told to get back,His words not mine.

A loan move would mayhap do him good? Get him match fit and bring him some confidence again? I've seen better players but also worse.

It looks plausible, especially with Beattie having come to us. I'd be disappointed to see him go though as he is a decent squad member and I personally feel that he has been good when he has played and does not deserve to have dropped as far down the apparent pecking order as he has.

He can't pass, can't tackle and doesn't run that much. And he has had one good shot and one that has gone in off his chin and I can't thank him enough for that but he just doesn't do it for me.
