Without any inside information, I confidently predict that there will be no signings from overseas.
It won't matter if his name is Fred, Bert, Harry or Pele I don't think TP is in the slightest interested.
TP has spent most of his career at Stoke trying to get rid of second rate overseas signings brought in by others. He will only risk loans.

Please tell me we are looking at full backs? There certainly are defensive targets

Monkeycat might I be so bold as to ask whether our targets are already established Prem players, so we can cut out all of this nonsense talking about players from Leagues in France, Spain, Portugal etc.

Presume the window shuts at 5.00PM? as I don't fancy stopping up until 12:00PM again, only to be let down.

Just hope Demar hasn't got a twin brother, as he is the only overseas signing I can remember TP making.

Dindane would be an amazing signing. If we can bring in at least two players tomorrow the momentum around the club gives us a great chance of staying up. Shorey is someone I really hope we are looking at aswell

Does anyone know if we are still in for Finnan?

Just a cautionary note.
As I have said on other threads, until the ink is dry on a contact, there is no such thing as a "done deal", and no ink has dried yet!! But the club are very confident re: getting what they after.

Presumably we're a long way down the line with these deals if we're going to get them signed, sealed and delivered within 24 hours?
Interesting that the Nigerian centre-half has been left out of the Sochaux squad tonight.........
Dindane would be potentially exciting but after 9 months out, how long would it take him to get up to full speed?
Maybe we're giving ourselves every chance to broker a loan for Dindane, as we know we can nip in to close the Camara deal late tomorrow if it doesn't happen?

Those with any sense know that signings aren't complete until the player has had his photo taken in front of the Boothen etc. I'm sure Tangoman is spying on our posts waiting to pounce (or am I getting a touch of the old paranoia again?)

Blackburn mentioned today with Dindane too. Looks like he's still not fit enough to start for Lens, playing the last half hour for them on Friday night in a 0-0 draw. www.lensois.com/breve-14287-fin-de-la-piste-dindane-a-blackburn-.htmlEnd of Runway Dindane in Blackburn? In search of an extra attacker, Blackburn looked at the case of Aruna Dindane. The English club has even sent an envoy to Chateauroux on Friday to oversee the Ivorian international. But Rovers are also another track closely. It leads to the Guinean Mohammed Tchité, with a lack of playing time in the Spanish club Racing Santander and former Anderlecht player, like Aruna.

I know I'm in a minority of one about being sceptical about Dindane, but do we really want to take a punt, even on loan, on a player who isn't fully fit when we need someone to make an impact straight away?

Is it me, or do we only sign players whose shirts we can print up with the left-over letters in the club shop ?
N'Daw, Yebda ?
At least with N'Daw he can bring along his mate Neneh cherry for a halftime sing-along, and with Yebda the force may be with us !

We've had quite a few disappointing closings of the transfer windows. F5 all day, and at the best an avarage player or two in just before deadline.
