Is every single defeat because of Pulis and his tactics and certain players performances, or could some defeats this season be simply down to a gulf in class? Perhaps?
You need a serious reality check, near enough every week we are up against teams that have single players close to the majority of our teams whole valuation, sometimes no matter what you do, you are just beaten by a better team. Simple.
This season was always going to be a marathon task, alot of people seem to have forgotten that.

Completely agree Luke.
Bearing in mind, we are up against a strong Tottenham team, with possibly the best manager in English Football.

Today was! Modric was given the freedom of the pitch-if we hadn't allowed him to play we might have got a result. We sat off him and let him run the show. Cresswell? 3-0 down and he brings on Griff and Sonks Hoofing the ball in any old manner without Mama top doesn't work! It hasn't worked since Mama got injured so whats with the insistance on doing it? It was a shite game today and Spurs are shite, but we gave them space and time and played to the tune of Dawsons foorhead and we let play. And we lost. Shite tactics, shite performance, shite result, shite referee too.

If it's a gulf in class, why fucking handicap ourselves even more through team selection and tactics???

We can't keep using the same excuse everytime we lose that the opposition were to good for us. We need to start stringing a few passes together and keeping hold of the ball a bit longer.

Not only because of the tactics every time, but I don't only come out after a defeat.
I'm here all the time saying the same, I want Pulis out, and have always wanted that.

Last year these same moaners wanted Gallagher instead of Mama.
3 months ago they wanted Soares, who is now struggling at bottom of the Champ Charlton.
Then they wanted Whelan, only to tear him apart tonight.
They wanted Wilko instead of Grif only to watch him give goal after goal away. Grif isn't that good, he is just better than Wilko.
Moaning is no good to anyone. You have no influence when you moan. Try to be positive people might take notice of your opinions.

i do agree its not Tps fault all the time but he does have to solder some of the blame i.e Poor selections and poor tactics in most of the away games.

there was a clear gulf in class centre mid tonight
Pulis could have gone last june & that gulf would still have been there
Modric was brilliant

Well you wont keep hold of the ball with Wilko and Higgy fullbacks .Both wank and chamionship level at best in those positions.

The hoof and hope one-dimensionality and lack of quality on the ball was embarrassing for huge chunks of the game.

It's a good and fair point of course.
We are in a new league with a massive difference in quality.
Why then does/did TP persist in playing a centre-forward who is patently not good enough for this league. ?
Why did TP sign £18m worth of players and not play them. ?
Why did TP tonight not play our star striker.?
Legitimate questions I think.

Is every single defeat because of Pulis and his tactics and certain players performances, or could some defeats this season be simply down to a gulf in class? Perhaps? Is it not strange how an average Championship side in Burnley beat Spurs 3-0 at the end of 90 mins during the week, but now you imply the same Spurs side demonstrates a "gulf in class". Strange eh?

Modric was brilliant because we let him play. He has shown if You pressurise him he is steaming pile of wank. Yet we didn't. It was a shocking performance by the players and TP.
I don't buy this difference in quality crap too. We've shown if we get amongst teams we can challenge with them. Tonight we never turned up. Spurs looked like a league 2 team against Burnley and Man Yoo yet we've just made them look like fookin Brazil!

So questioning is moaning now?? There is a big difference between questioning and moaning on here and you know it. How many of these moaners say, ' i think pulis could have got the tactics wrong today, thoughts? ' They prefer to say 'shite pulis, cresswell rubbish, etc... ' They are perfectly entitled to their opinions i accept that, thats why i asked them a simple question instead of rubbing my nose up Pulis's reer.

It's not an excuse, it's the truth! Really, then how do we manage to turn these teams over at the Brittania. It's a valid question. We still lack quality and are very one-dimensional, but we're like a different team at home. Along with the usual advantages of being at home, does the postage-stamp pitch make all the difference, allowing us to hassle effectively for the whole 90 minutes and keep the play very narrow, cluttered and disjointed? We are largely awful away though, and it's getting embarrassing.

The hoof and hope one-dimensionality and lack of quality on the ball was embarrassing for huge chunks of the game. It was, but Harry had worked out how to counter Plan A. Man City away and Big Sam also worked it out. Even with Mama, there is a way to stop it working completely, if your manager has any brain. Thankfully most of the managers we have come up against for the last few years are clueless. When Plan A doesn't work you need an alternative. Second half we knocked the ball around and did better, but our players looked so uncomfortable passing it around. I am not going to reveal the simple way of countering Plan A. Those of you with an ounce of footballing sense know anyway!

Ok let's cut the emotion and look at the stats: www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11662_2705370,00.html Opta stats for passing is interesting, we are bottom by a long long long long way They call it hoof ball, we say it's the way we play but stats don't lie. How can we progress forward if we don't hit our man? Watched Portsmouth V Villa tonight and even a sit side like Portsmouth had the ability to win a ball and play a good pass off, something we seem not to be able to do

How you can compare league results to cup results is beyond me, anyone whose followed football for years on end knows full well the cup throws up all sorts of results. Spurs's side compare to ours is far superior, thats not being negative thats being realistic, so whilst ive never side these sides aren't beatable, sometimes defeats boil down to a better side playing better, and winning a game.
