What's Ricci done - we should have played Kitson.
Tone - you should have taken your team tactics from this Message Board this afternoon!

Cresswell the new Sidibé?
By that I mean SCAPEGOAT SCAPEGOAT
It's not the shambolic defending, or the poor tactics, oh no. It's richard Bloody Cresswell.

Shit. Nothing but. Very little creativity in midfield, nothing from Fuller, Cresswell on the pitch and the answer for this Saturday? Probably Cresswell.
The gap at the bottom might be small, but it only gets bigger when you don't win games. Hate to point out the obvious but we don't look like winning games.

Here's the infuriating bit: We played half a match AGAIN. We looked the better team in the second half (just!), but our passing was so hurried and we look so uncomposed on the ball it's untrue. Too many times we've had an easy sideways ball to the full back and have instead lumped it forward into the channels, where there was nobody. It's not good enough. Sidibe isn't there to win the ball any more, the players have got to learn how to pass and how to be patient.
For my money, only Shawcross comes out of this with any real credit. Good performance from him in the second half, well done young man.

Passing was embarrassingly bad tonight. Shawcross looked confident and would not surprise me if clubs start sniffing around him now. Well taken goal by JB. Defoe goal very good. Bottom of the league with West Brom having a game in hand... (Noise of Clap of thunder / Clock tower bell and tumble weed.....)

Sick of the negative tactics from Pulis again. He goes to every away game to nick a point. As if every week is Man Utd or Chelsea. The 0-0 at Liverpool seems to have bolstered his view that this is a good idea.
If we went for it from the off we would still lose most games but might win 1 or 2 and that is all we need.
Spurs were there for the taking tonight. Had a mate in the Spurs end saying that their crowd were bricking it before the match. Imagine if we had gone at them!
Pathetic..........

I said if we let Spurs play and we lay off then we will struggle and lo and behold we let them play.
What is wrong with Liam? Why Cresswell?
He is just not learning away from home!!!

Although Griff had a decent game, I think I'd have moved Delap to right back when Wilko came off and put Lawrence on the right wing with Pugh replacing Amdy Faye.
EDIT - although I have to admit that would have meant that I was unable to bring Fuller on! ;D

I'm afraid it's perfectly obvious that Tone is out of his depth.
He's done a great job for us, but, now is the time to depart gracefully and let a new manager give us a proper footballing team that will come back to the Prem even stronger.
Step forward Roberto Martinez.
