Sinnott appointed manager of Bradford Park Avenue eh? A major step up from his last job then.

Another nail in the coffin for that shower from Burslem. To help them in their hour in need surely Stoke could do something to help out? We've now loaned out some good squad players to Leeds amd Charlton, so surely Pericard would benefit from a month or two at the Wembley of the North.

Some on here harp on about how they feel sorry for them, and how they’d hate to see them relegated to the Conference.
I've not met one Vale fan that doesn’t want us to fail miserably this season. They’re a small insignificant club who can rot in the lower leagues until they go bust, for all I care.
Harsh eh.

If he got that in a lump sum they would be in serious trouble. The deal they are offering him seems fair enough to me - He's going to get paid either way so why sue them for more?

£380,000 loss last year? Coupled with a potentially costly court case and the inevitable lump sum pay out to Sinnott this year. Sounds like administration will be ringing the hamil road doorbell anytime now!

Not harsh at all, I go on to ovf once a week to see how the other half live so to speak and the pure hatred and venomous bile thrown our way is unbelievable, Long may their fall from grace continue while we sip champagne and they sup mild.

See what you want to see. Plenty of fair comments go your way youth, unlike the c*nts on here wanting the Vale go under even though you don't give a shit about us and it's embarrassing having a "rival" in League 2. Of course.

To a degree your right Smeegs, but swap the positions around and would you not feel a tad jealous and bitter of the Vale? I'd love to see them improve, traditionally were not really rivals, and I used to love the Potteries Derbys as a small child in the 90s

According to a mate, Central have reported that if Vale have to pay Sinnot a lump sum, then they will go into administration!
Can anyone confirm or deny?
Funny how theyve announced that on the same day as they sign two players on 3 year deals ???

Er I think that happened yeah, I didn't see it personally but I've heard of it. We signed Brammer on a 6 month deal, Owen I think has got 2 1/2 years and neither will be on poor wages. From what I've read we've been paying Sinnott on a monthly basis but he now wants a fuck off payoff in total.

As much as I'm enjoying their predicament at the moment, and I know if the boot was on the other foot they'd love it, i can't see that Sinnott has much of a case here, the fail are making payments when due as he would have received them had he still been on the mission to get them relegated.
Still it is the fail so who really cares

Sinnot is entitled to compensation, he's given Vale two deadlines and they've failed to meet them both, at the same time they've been signing players.
Utter madness and thats coming from one of the few who likes the Vale on here.

Given the bollocks spread by all and sundry at Vale Park, in the article Bratt claims he's been trying to contact Sinnott for the past couple of months. Although if he was all that desperate to talk to him it'd be pretty piss easy no? We're proper old school at the moment, it's just like the Billy Bell era. Nobody has got a clue what's going on.

Power isn't easy to relinquish. Best of it is that babble mouthed idjut Sinnott would be able to sweet talk any judge into believing his bollocks. He got the Vale to believe he could manage at league level

Not really, they have around 4000 fans, maybe 500 would come to see us, they dont produce good players locally, in the same way that we seem to have problems with it.
It's a crying shame that another team would be going out of buisness, but who would care, as long as teams like Man City can spend £100m+ on players?
Football is going to the dogs, and I really hope Port Vale pull through!

I am no expert on employment law, but I think Sinnott may have a case, especially with the Vale looking to be financially unsecure. Sinnott may be ablee to convince a court that Vale may be unable to continue making regular payments.
On the other hand, Vale could argue that as Sinnott has taken on another job, they do not have to pay compensation, other than for the time between being relieved of duties and starting at BPA.
I understand Sinnott wanting closure and if Vale are refusing to offer a lump sum settlement, then Sinnott will have no coice but to push it through the courts. Sounds like posturing to me, in order to get a better negotiating position. I would expect Vale to make a settlement offer, rather than allow it to go to court.

BPA will not be paying a lot.
Incredible to think that The Fail were sandwiched in between Farsley Celtic and Bradford Park Avenue.

I can't see that Sinnot has much of a case - certainly he doesn't have much of a case morally. He's getting his wages for the balance of his contract - exactly what is he moaning about?
I hope he loses because, if he doesn't, then a lot of smaller clubs are going to go to the wall if they get rid of bad managers who take them to court demanding the balance of their contract as a lump sum.
Whilst some on here (not me) might like to see Vale go out of business it would not be good for the game if many small clubs did so. Small clubs SHOULD be the foundation on which the game in this country is built. The shakier the foundations the more risk to the whole pyramid. I'd hate to see a time when there was the Premier League and nothing of any substance below it.

It's a funny one - if I got fired from working in the City because I made loads of crap decisions and cost them a load of money, I'd get a settlement package, but nothing like the value of my contract. Seems strange that some no-hoper like Sinnott gets to receive the total value of his contract, regardless of his performance. Can anyone explain?
