Is that all? What a bargain. Add a £20 million Jamaican and it will have been a pretty cheap January for the Sheikh.
What a joke.

I'm pretty sure Man City said they "wouldn't let clubs hold them ransom" in the transfer window.

Lives could be saved in hospitals etc with that amount of football. It's sickening. True, but you could also say that about the millions that Stoke have spent this season. I think Man. City should spend on their dodgy defence first. Mark Hughes has got a tough job on his hands with the owners interfering with signing players. Would love to see massive dressing room unrest resulting in Man citeh being relegated.

This is madness beyond belief. At a time when everybody is running scared because of the credit crunch with companies laying staff off and many closing down along comes football yet again to put the boot in by fuelling even more outrageous wage demands from players thus further inflating the transfer market which only results in higher turnstile prices for the beleaguered footbal fan. I'm sorry but its about time the taxman and banks started calling in the massive debts owed by some clubs so that we can see one or two go to the wall. That may help football to join the real world instead of spending their lives on planet Zob.

The authorities could nip this in the bud at a stroke by insisting that a club's expenditure on players should be pegged to a percentage of their FOOTBALL related income.

Perhaps we could offer £101million plus to cover AC's loss, Vince Pericard in exchange, after all, he did play for Juventus.
£100million is stupid money and Man Citeh are going to put our great game in danger with a reported offer of £500K a week!! Nobody is worth that sum of money, a total joke.
What chance does the kids have when you got idiots like these offering stupid money for foreign footballers.

Lawryleslie.. what's wrong with Planet Zob That's disgusting, we should start to look at options to stop the game falling flat on it's arse. As LP said or the American Football way of the worst team get first pick on the college players for that season.

Lets lay fucking money on the fact that Kaka's first game for Citeh will be.....
January 31 against, ironically, Stoke City.
Bring on the carnival atmosphere, what would be funny however, if Kaka does make his debut in that match, if our own Big Abdy kicks him up in the air and puts him out for the season. Now that I'd like to see!

Makes me wonder where the pay back is ? Why who some of the richest men in the world with undoubted business skills think that £100m on one player is a good investment. Is there a race on to make sure citeh are in the Euro champions league ?
For £100m you could go and buy several of your rivals top players, lampard, rooney, gerrard for example, this would surely be better than buying one player.
Makes me wonder what's really going on here ?

The FA need to step in here as the game we ENGLISH invented has become vulgar to the inhabitants of this great island. This fee and reported wages are beyond the bounds of sanity and will price Joe Public out of any team.

Would'nt mind a cheeky bid for Sturridge or Evans though, it's a crying shame that players like Sturridge and Ched Evans who I watched grow up in the local Junior league before he was scouted will not get a sniff if all these superstars arrive.

Let them do it, I say, more fool them.
Be good for the ailing Scottish Distilleries, too, when Fergie learns he's going to lose Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand, Vidic, etc. to his near neighbours... ;D

With Man City being invested in heavily this is the proof that footballers are only interested in money. This is a club with no real tradfition of winning trophies, and are in a battle at the moment to stay in the Premier League. Not forgetting that they are no where near to qualifying for the Champions League.
Robinho has already proved he is only money motivated, will Kaka be the next?
