To all those uncertain about the availability of tickets for Chelsea the game is definitely sold out. I joined the queue, position 8, at 09.00 and was answered at 09.18. The girl confirmed tickets were sold out last Monday. I told her to report to the relevant person within the club that the official site information needs updating to prevent anyone else wasting their time and money on the phone...

A major cock up here. . . Stoke did not take 3000 tickets and so a lot of people have been left unable to go.

I've since phoned main reception to complain that the site hasn't been updated for 7 days. "We're very sorry, we'll get onto it straight away"

No good bleating, I know, but when you take a morning off work (unpaid) it really isn't good enough. If it's true the club forfeited the full allocation in fear they wouldn't sell out then what does that say about their ambition for its supporters. Whether I got one or not, well done SCFC...

NB I'm not normally one to moan about the ticket office, I generally find everyone to be very helpful. However if Stokies can't go to this match simply because we have failed to anticipate the size of our visiting support then that's very disappointing. Surely it's best to request more tickets than you ever think you will really need to ensure there is no disappointment?

Gods, I guess the bottom line is the club feared it may be left holding £££'s worth of tickets that have to be paid for (apparently CFC don't do 'sale or return').
That doesn't excuse the pathetic lack of updated information on the club site...

if we had only sold 1,500 though the club would have to pay for the other 1,500 a bill of around 75k

Does anyone know what time the official coach leaves? On the ticket it says 8.30 and on the website it said 10? Anyone know? ???

It is disappointing to miss a game circled at the start of the season (as a southern exile) due to the fact we decided on a reduced allocation. Understandable decision by the club though, I suppose. I'm guessing its the same story again for Spurs though?

I don't know what the typical number of general sale tickets the club makes is, but leaving the 'on sale' date so late means we're in a catch 22 and will never build up accurate historical information upon which allocation uptake decisions are made...

Yeah, leave a handful for us non season ticket holders down south - that go on sale 48 hours before the match.

Wow! I really didn't realise the Club had to pay for any unsold tickets from within our allocation.
That being the case surely the way these things should work is that we initially call off 1500 tickets we are confident of selling then call off a further batch of say 500 since there are still 5 selling days left?
Am I missing someting with that? Perhaps Chelseas will say policing has now been arranged on the basis of 1500 Stokies or something like that?
NB I can't go to Spurs I'll be on holiday!!

I'm sure a lot of us exiles would be happy to pledge for tickets well in advance if given the option.
Hell, I'd even be happy to give my credit card details well in advance and tough titty if subsequently I can't make the match...

Gods, sounds good in theory but on that basis you'd end up with a mixed section (CFC & SCFC in together) or an unknown quantity of empty seats which neither CFC or SCFC are going to swallow....

Think you will find that if you want to go and not got a ticket just get down to the Bridge and pay on the day.
There is 3000 seats for away fans and we don't have the stupid TS card in place now.

At the top of the thread there's an advert for a Chelsea Locksmith.

Last week Chelsea's site had the game sold out. So my thought is they have a reserve list for tickets from their own and so the addittional 1600 went to them.

LOL Gods [re the stewards]
Chelsea have 3000 spaces for away fans we have only sold 1800 ? this leaves 1200 spaces.
Email or phone the Chelsea ticket office on Thursday or Friday explain that you know Stoke only took up a allocation of 1800 and you understand that the away end holds up to 3000. Request to purchase an away ticket you might be surprised.
As for the Stewards just tell em Clan2 sent you they will shite em selfs ;D
