The thread was started to advise and tell people what went on there. I for sure will not be drinking there again before a game, i just wanted fellow Stokies to be aware of what may happen thats all pal. As for the admin bit - i guess you condone swearing on here and also hoping that people get a kickin too!! But you never told people what went on did you. You told people what you thought went on and then blamed your own fans before knowing the facts. I stand by what I have said and if you don't like swearing you are on the wrong board PAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Firstly i was there so i know what went on and secondly i only stated the facts. Let the admin people decide if all your comments as well as me gettin my head kicked in are appropriate or not.P.S your no PAL of mine even if you are a Stoke fan. P.P.S It's well passed your bed time isn't it?

No i don't drink and drive + we share the driving when we go to the games. One week i will drive and the next someone else. I think you are moving away from the initial post which seems alot of people are sayin ais acceptable .... poor show whoever started it or finished it. Actually I think that question was aimed at me winge, I put the question mark there in the hope that potterspride could tell me what on earth he's on about. you said ''We always PARK and often DRINK at the power league''. I was just asking the question.

Where were you standing as i saw a couple of punchies. Yes it was handbags and bot supporters were at fault. As for who started it, how do you work that one out do we put it to a vote? Best thing that Powerleague can do is only open to home fans + put a notice to this affect on the door. Not sure why they have bouncers there as this did not prevent anything.

There was some good singing but as soon as the scousers started singing "they were going to bounce " then it was going downhill from there. We were also with kids in the far corner & approx 12 scousers stood up & started bouncing ( on the tables / chairs ) and they had no colours on them between them. They knew what they were in for. Cheeky scousers tried to be friendly afterwards wishing us a good game too in their usual "it's not our fault .. you should calm down ..whats the problem " manner which is a clear character trait of a scouser ( i have 3 very good scouse mates ) As it was the power league, which is usually fine, there wasn't a lot more trouble. The Stoke fans should not be blamed for provoking the scousers. The few stoke fans who took a stand perhaps prevented a much bigger event where bottles etc would have gone all over the place. The bouncers should be blamed for a poor initial job as they let at least 20-30 scousers with no colours in in the space of a few minutes and then perhaps another 20 with colours , some of whom were "bouncing " and singing on the tables. Its not a hard accent to pick up is it - a quick "You alright lads ?" would have sorted them out . As for police intelligence - there was a van outside when i went in & when i left there were more poilce than there were people inside - wrong place wrong time! I hope you never experience anything like that again but i am sure you have seen it happen a few times at the football & on a sat night. Unfortunately you get 2/3 minutes to sense it & get out fo the way if you can. There are plenty of idiots who want trouble but i think on this occassion you are way off the mark in blaming stoke fans for this ..

I agree with your post, but the post also was about the Stoke fans that threatened Liverpool fans in their car walking back to the cricket club. This was in fact Stoke fans punching his windows and trying to get into his car. Enough said i still not should be wished by apparently a fellow Stoke fan that i get a kickin next week at Chelsea surely.

There were skimishes all over and it was planned and the police knew about it as there were so many about. It happens, it shouldn't and the people that do it are pathetic but You shouldn't let 1 bad exeperience taint Your view and make an idiotic call for the ID card to be reintroduced. It takes two to tango.

I wil give winge the fact he saw punches thrown (well if you could call them punches, more like bitch slaps) , but it was the little scouser who "bounced" past the bouncer when the stand off occured and jumped windmilling into the stoke lads. It was handbags but the scousers were at fault and were well up for it, so I felt it only tight to point out that winge was wrong to put the blame for this on stoke fans.

Thanks for pointing out the punch issue. The blaming is another issue. i just feared for my daughter and would like to confirm that i have not experienced any fighting at any away game this season, even in Liverpool when Stoke fans sung songs in a Liverpool bar near the ground.

There was a wee bit of a tense atmospere in the Harvester once the gobby twats started singing, a few of their 'lads' were in there and I had a few words with one the gist of the conversation was Stoke were singing in the pubs all around Liverpool and nowt happened(due to numbers I think) so why should'nt they sing in ours. Think it was planned from further bits of the conversation, there were no colours anywhere and there was the usual assortment of shady looking scallies dotted about the bar. It ended with police all over the show because the landlady had spotted the signs and as we left the bouncers were telling everyone who was trying to get in that they were now shut. Them loveable scouse rouges eh ;D

you're all talking rubbish
No trouble reported from Saturday's draw against Liverpool POLICE have praised fans after a trouble-free match at the Britannia Stadium.
A sell-out crowd packed into the ground to see the Potters draw 0-0 with Liverpool on Saturday.
And police made no arrests at the match, which kicked off later for live television coverage.
Officers were later called to deal with some trouble-makers in Hanley, although there were no serious incidents.
A police spokesman said: “There was no trouble of any consequence.
“There were a couple of incidents involving groups in town later on, but fans were well-behaved and most people went home happy.”

Stokieuk, how can you say we are all talking rubbish? are you omnipresent, I know what I witnessed as I was there, you've heard some people who were there in the power league, minor incidents they may have been but incidents they were, and it would have kicked off big time in the Harvester(and I've seen my fair share of pubs go off following Stoke) if not for the actions of the landlady and police who kept it calm and under control and by closing the place.
