Sounds like the Police were too slow to react, anyone who was in there for the FA cup game aginast the toon army last season will recall some good banter and singing from both sets, then one toon fan got a bit shouty, police walked in, and removed him, his mates didn't even try and stop them, in fact not one toon fan reacted to him being removed, and once he was gone we carried on singing

BristolMick, i went to Anfield this season in my stoke colours and we had a great time in a pub near the ground. We sung songs and they sung songs too. After the match when walking back to the car they even shook our hands and wished us good luck. Some of our Stoke fans though decide to kick of and then punch people on the way back to the cars....i wished they would grow up. As for parking at the next home match i'll use the car park oposite the official car park and drink in the Harvester. You say you will drink in the Harvester....Over the years of the stadium being where it is i think you will find theres probably been more trouble at the Harvester than the Power League, Like everyone says treat it as an isolated incident. I know its not right but these things happen at football home and away and its not just our fans that cause these problems.

Winge I suggest you didn't actually see who started it if you are under the impression Stoke fans did, and you have just made it up to have a pop at Stoke in some holier than though atitude.
The scousers were to blame for this not the Stoke fans. The scousers got a few songs going then stoke responded with a Delilah. Then The Scousers started the bounce song "gering themselves up for a brawl.
One scouser turned to me, presumably thinking I was a scouse fan and said "we are going to kick it off in a minute are you in?"
A table got turned over and pints got chucked at the stoke fans. the steward got in the middle of it and then one stupid scouser of about 40 years of age broke from their group and waded into the stoke fans.
When the police came in the scousers all started bleating about events that they had started. Tossers.
The police were a little slow to get in ther as you could feel it was going to go off beacuse of the attitude of a group of scouse fans.
To sit and moan about the stokies in this winge is just typical of Stoke fans who want to chastise us for any little matter and actually contribute more to the "damaging reputation of our club".

Erikson74 - you are entitled to your point of view on these events as am i. If you have children with you you will respect that you have more than one person to keep an eye on. I also heard Stoke fans near the door saying they were goin to kick off, hence i was well out of the way with my daughter and friends prior to the fiasco that happened afterwards. I felt that the police arrived very quickly. I think that all pubs near the ground should be for home fans ONLY!!
After all is said, lets all the true fans get behind the team and i hope to see all of you that don't agree with me at Stamford Bridge next Saturday....cum on Stoke!!

Normally this is a good place to drink prior to the game with both sets of fans mixing in a good family enviroment, until yesterday. My friend and i had our daughters with us and were shocked when having only been in the place 10 minutes tables and drink flying and a stand off between Stoke and Liverpool fans. This then led to the police arriving to control the situation.(a section 27 could have been issued and i would have missed the game without doing anything wrong) I have travelled to many away games this season with no problems until we go to our own home games. On walking back to my car parked at the cricket club, we then find again Stoke and Liverpool fans fighting (Liverpool fans were in their car too)!! I will not be using the Power League again prior to the match and will not be parking at the cricket club in fear of safety for myself and daughter. When are these idiots and so called Stoke fans going to start being sensible ..... i fear that if this continues we will have the away cards reinstalled. Either go to the game sensible or not all!! Have a read this right as I was not aware a section 27 could be issued for home fans at home games. They are home already.

A section 27 can be issued anywhere to anyonethe police deem as potentially a threat at causing trouble. This being the case they can prevent you from attending the match whether at home or away. My friend was one that had this section 27 issued when at Manchester and he lives in Salford!

My friend was one that had this section 27 issued when at Manchester and he lives in Salford! wrong: the section 27 stops you being in a defined area for 48hrs, in the GMPs case it was most of manchester that was classed as the defined area . If the section 27 would impede you from access to a) your home b) your place of work c) access to medical facilities it can not be issued police.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/operational-policing/directions-to-leave-locality?view=Binarybottom of page 9 top of 10

IlfordDave you are wrong - this is from the goverment website on the subject and it can be issued anywhere even your home town as it is used to remove you from the area, eg if you were at Power league they could move you to your home under this order - see this copied from the web
VIOLENT CRIME REDUCTION ACT 2006 – DIRECTIONS TO LEAVE
Introduction
This circular alerts you to the provisions contained in section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 which came into force on 22nd August 2007. This provides the police with a power to issue a direction to an individual to leave a locality to minimise the risk of alcohol-related crime or disorder arising and/or taking place.
Summary
2. Section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2007 introduces a new police power to give directions to leave to individuals to leave a locality. This is where an individual’s presence is likely to cause or contribute to the occurrence, repetition or continuance of alcohol-related crime or disorder in a locality and it is necessary to remove the individual from the locality for the purpose of removing or reducing the likelihood of there being such crime or disorder in the locality.
3. A direction to leave prohibits an individual aged 16 years or over from returning to a specific locality for a period not exceeding 48 hours. The power should be used proportionately, reasonably and with discretion in circumstances where it is considered necessary to prevent the likelihood of alcohol-related crime or disorder.

kingdeano - you condone the actions whether it was Stoke fans or Liverpool fans who started it or not. I was there and saw what i saw. I'm a Stoke fan for over 32 years and go home and away + a season ticket holder and go to pre-season friendlies abroad and aren't getting on any Stoke fans backs.

Winge where will you park and drink next time? Because in all honesty chap, you're no less likely to not run into somet similar where ever you choose to go. We always park at the cricket club and often drink in the Power League and both places are about as safe as you're going to get. It was unfortunate you ran into some mither yesterday, but that had more to do with the specific individuals that were involved rather than the locations that it happened in. are you a drink driver ??? ?

winge :
When a direction should not be given Section 27(4) of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 sets out that a direction to leave may not be given if it prevents the individual from:
• having access to their home; • having access to their place of work; • having access to a place they need to attend to receive education, training or medical treatment; or • having access to a place that they have been ordered to attend under any enactment or by a court or tribunal. Although under no statutory obligation, a constable should also consider not giving a direction to leave that would prevent an individual taking a child to a place where they may receive medical treatment. For example a direction would not be appropriate if such medical treatment is likely to be urgently required. A direction to leave should also not be given if it prevents an individual attending their normal place of worship, in rare cases where it would prevent them from fulfilling any special dietary requirements, or where it would prevent them from taking their child to school. A direction to leave would not be appropriate for an individual who has difficulty understanding English, unless it is given by a multilingual constable in their language. Alternatively they should be provided with a translation of the requirement to leave in their own language.

Ilforddave - your points noted but we all don't come from around Stoke this was my point, as they could have implimented this section 27 to all Liverpool fans + any Stoke fan that does not come from Stoke!
