with some good guidance and coaching can become a really good player. He had a good game today, showed some skill, a little impatience with the yellow card, but a diamond in the rough.

I think he always looks likely to give away daft free kicks in dangerous positions.

You can say what you like about Wilko. His touch isn't brilliant, he often makes rash decisions and yes he isn't exactly as ripe as some people make out anymore. However, age shouldn't be such a misconception. For a 23 year old?? He hasn't played that much 1st team football. There are 19 year olds in this league with more experience and given a run I think Wilko will be good.
To say he isn't good enough for the Premiership is a joke of a remark. His last 2 games (in footballing terms) he has been fantastic against 2 of the best teams in the world. 1 goal conceded as well. Put it this way, if we were to sign a quality right back and we had Wilko as backup I would certainly be very happy.

I think he'd make a decent CB to be honest rather than RB, but he's never going to play there with who we have. His distribution is poor and somethings he makes me nervous as I worry he'll dive in, but he's slowly improving and had a decent game.

Like it or not, if he not fouled Babel, he would have been in and charging at the 6 yd box. It looked a professional foul from Wiko, not a late clip. Stinks, I know, but Babel was brought on to kill us off.

I think he always looks likely to give away daft free kicks in dangerous positions. That's his biggest problem. If he can cut that out (that should come with experience) there's no reason why he couldn't go on to be a solid Prem defender. The foul on Babel was defo premeditated, he just should have done it a bit earlier, when they were running down the wing together.

Good performance from Wilko tonight. I'd keep him at RB ahead of Griffin everytime.

had a decent game but a stupid booking again He had to foul Babel... He stopped Liverpool's attack and stopped Babel slotting the ball into our box for a scoring opportunity... I have my doubts about him. He has made a couple of high profile mistakes, but he's learning in the best league in the world and was solid today. Played well against Manure too.. until the red card... I'd pick him over Griffin as well...

He just needs to curtail the wild and reckless aspects of his game.Considering his position,he really has little room for rash challenges or poorly timed hoofed clearances.
He does give us total commitment and the impact of this was evident by Ronaldos petulant behaviour on Boxing Day.

He had a good game today until the last ten minutes. He needs to improve his distribution obviously but for defending he is very good.

Wilko.....local lad comes good.
If he can work on his distribution he could become a solid fullback. Gave everything today.

yeah hes better than me but he aint gud enuf 4 premiership mate simple as Well thats just absolute rubbish. He had a great game today IMO. His distribution can be a bit dodgy at time but he gives 110%, is very strong in the tackle and could be an excellent player for us. O and him throwing Gerrard into the hoardings was a nice touch!

I think every team has bad luck in a season (apart from unitied) and we have had our fair share!

I like him, he likes a good tackle strong on the ball. His only down fall is his passing needs to work on that, when he has he will be a really good player.

when he's got out & out defending today such as teh last two home games he has risen to the task brilliantly.
against Fulham when we needed our fullbacks to use the ball well he was poor & we missed Griff
on paper I reckon Davies is probably the best of the 3 but probably nest season before we see the best of him.
Wilo is never going to be a great ball player but if he can learn,& learn quickly,to at least keep it simple then he could still have a career in the prem.
otherwise he will end up in the Championship as decent CB

His foul on Babel, was necessary, premeditated and executed as well as any Chelsea or Man U full back.

He played well today.
Had he not fouled Babel he would of gone freely into the box and they probably would of scored. He took one for the team, so to speak.
