I'm beginning to agree with those who suggested that the likes of Soares, Tonge and Sonko were "panic" buys...I panic every time I see their names on the team sheet! ;D

What's harsh about it?
It's the kind of question we'd all debate in the pub isn't it?

The point is Trousers the poll is already coloured by your own personal bias. If you're going to include Amdy then really you've got to include all his signings this term, even if you know that no fucker is going to vote for them!

Went for Sonko....bit harsh on Kitson, injured for 2 months and unless we get a decent wide man who can get balls in the box, it's never gonna happen for him. Could you imagine a 5ft 6 Kevin Doyle or Kevin Phillips in this team? They would get a touch of the ball if they played 24/7.

Actually thinking about it ... yeah you're right Trumpton, that was a pretty wank comment by me actually. Sorry Trousers.

I did actually put them all in at first, then thought there was potential for rimmers to vote for Abdy Faye as the worst just to fuck the poll up! ;D
Personally I wouldn't put Amdy Faye in there, as he's done OK and was a freebie...however, there have been a few folk moaning about him, so in he went!

Higgy was not a good signing because he is being played at left back where he is rubbish, move him to center halve then i may agree with you

I voted for Sonko. I thought we'd stitched Coppell up when we sold Doobs for 800K. With Kits & Sonko I know who's laughing now

I cannot believe I am the first voter for Amdy Faye???????? I can .... he's doing OK and he cost next to nothing, if not nothing at all. Can't see that as a bad signing really when we have players who cost millions doing very little.

I was tempted to say Sonko, but he has had at least a couple of decent games (well decent as in not making a calamitous mistake that costs us a game). Olofinjana, on the other hand, has had one good game and 10 or so shockingly bad performances.
Tonge and Soares really haven't had enough games. Both have looked good players in parts, although have also had their fair share of underwhelming performances.
Kitson will come good if we play it is to his feet and get more crosses in the box.

I can't believe his glasses aren't on that list, surely a man with his money could have laser surgery or at least something that doesn't make him look a right nurd Sonko for me

I cannot believe I am the first voter for Amdy Faye???????? He's been ok and you yourself have admitted to being "blinkered" regarding him. He's been far better than the sack of wank that is Olofinjana.

How anyone can say Amdy Faye is crazy and simply attention seeking
He didnt cost much (OK is on a good salary) but if you attended matches you would know he has been one of our better players when he has played.

He's been far better than the sack of wank that is Olofinjana. I am blinkered against him you are right. I do attend matches, and what I can see is that what we need is some skill and quality and not another hard-working defensive midfielder. We already have Salif, Pugh, Delap, Whelan who can play that role, we did not need Am Faye, and in my opinion it's a waste of wages. However, as Rob rightly says, I just do not like the player, never have whoever he's played for, so I'll hold my hands up. EDIT - my dislike of him is compounded by the fact that once we bought him in, the die was cast as to how we would set up this season, and I still believe our reluctance to "go for it" in games such as Wigan away will ultimately cost us. Salif and Faye (Am) should only ever play together in games when our backs are going to be firmly against the wall, because neither of them offers anything going forward.

Too early to pick, but obviously so far it has to be Kitson. We shall see.

I don't see how a player who has for the most part done ok can be a waste of wages? I think he and Whelan have been our best two central midfielders this season, (and I wasn't convinced about Whelan at all until his recent run in the side).

I think I'm probably being unreasonable in hindsight. The fact that he's done "ok" probably proves that, but I'm sure that others would also have done "ok".
He's probably not the worst signing. However when we signed everyone else I was pretty happy, whereas with Amdy I wasn't. It's dead easy to look now and say Sonko was a cock-up, but at the time we bought him in I didn't think so. Same with Oli. Now it looks like a waste of cash, but when we got him I was quite happy.
