I am blinkered against him you are right. I do attend matches, and what I can see is that what we need is some skill and quality and not another hard-working defensive midfielder. We already have Salif, Pugh, Delap, Whelan who can play that role, we did not need Am Faye, and in my opinion it's a waste of wages. However, as Rob rightly says, I just do not like the player, never have whoever he's played for, so I'll hold my hands up. EDIT - my dislike of him is compounded by the fact that once we bought him in, the die was cast as to how we would set up this season, and I still believe our reluctance to "go for it" in games such as Wigan away will ultimately cost us. Salif and Faye (Am) should only ever play together in games when our backs are going to be firmly against the wall, because neither of them offers anything going forward. I don't see how a player who has for the most part done ok can be a waste of wages? I think he and Whelan have been our best two central midfielders this season, (and I wasn't convinced about Whelan at all until his recent run in the side). that last bit "...until his recent run in the side" says it all. Pulis hasn;t been able to stick to a same midfield and defence this season yet and i think that is showing. players need runs in the team to figure out how everyone plays. how many different centre halfs have we tried with faye manily through injury. how many times has our midfield changed. soares and tounge probably were panick buys as we needed squad players but again they need a run in th eteam to come good. kitson will score when he comes back and shut a few people up don;t understand how people can slag kitson and davies off when they been out with bad injuries. especially davies.

I'm dissappointed with this poll, as it only allows one vote. I'd have liked to have voted for at least 4 on that list and 5, if you'd put Pericard on there as another useless signing.(alright it wasn't last summer but I just wanted the opportunity to register how poor this guy actually is. I liked Praise and Grumble last night when the guy said it was Frey Bentos, he'd played for and not Juventus. He is a disgrace to the shirt and needs getting rid of ASAP.

I really hate to say this, because I really want him to do well, but I have to go with Kitson, due to the money spent on him, 3-5m and he's not scored one goal yet and clearly doesn't fit into the "pulis system". .

Kitson simply because he cost so much and has looked (yes i suppose without good service) completely below average

Definitely Olofinjana due to the fee we paid and the fact he hasnt done anything since he came.
2nd Would be Sonko who looks a liability at the back and isnt as good as Cort.
Kitson has done ok he just needs a goal.

I don't think Kitson has had anywhere near enough starts to properly judge him. Give him a run of 5 games in the side (preferably with players that can actually create chances) and then see how he does.

He was a great player for Reading and was interesting the likes of Capello this time last year. You dont become a bad player overnight. I am sure once he gets a goal you will se the real Dave Kitson.

certainly NOT kitson, imo the biggest fuck - up was to NOT get in creative pacey wide men to feed him and give us more options on the counter attack. because Kitson is well capable of scoring goals given the right service Its all good and well sitting deep like we do and defending/soaking up pressure, i have no problem whatsoever with that but the name of the game when playing like that is about how fast you can then turn that defence into attack once you have gained posession of the ball. Aston Villa are the masters of this with young and agbonlahor they have it down to a tee, they suck you in then...BANG!!!!... they hit you at 100 mph on the break, leaving you on the back foot, hence the reason they are doing so well. Our option and reguarly our ONLY option is to lump it up to Mama and if he does'nt win the ball it comes straight back up our end of the pitch putting more pressure on our defence. IMO we are not far off a good effective unit as a team, we desperatley need pacey front men & widemen if we are going to make this defensive counter attack football work in this league. IMO Routledge, for the money he was taken for would of been an excellent peice of business for us, he's exactly the type of player we need.
