Firstly this is not a total dig at Wilko, but as a supporter who thinks he is deeply out of his depth at this level, today I feel he let himself down, his team down and us, the fans down with a rash moment of madness. To be fair to the lad until the sending off I thought he was having a great game by his standards, one which every Stoke fan would be proud of. Than comes the but.... Now I know the the Ref was shocking today, but when your on a yellow card you cannot dive in like a mad man the way he did (bearing in mind the yellow card he has on his head) when we weren't in any danger of conceding from that position play. I just felt if we had the full eleven for the final eighteen minutes we would of got at least one point which we totally deserved.

Must admit wilko was having a great game untill the silly lunge,it was a sending off and i believe if we had finished with 11 players we would have got a point, but then again utd should have had rooney and ronaldo sent off!!!

Was a bit stupid but if the ref had done something about Ronaldo kicking out at him minutes before maybe he wouldn't have been so pissed off. Twice in two or three weeks Ronaldo has done that and got away with it, makes my blood boil!

Ronaldo shouldn't have been on the pitch at that point. Wilkinson rightly got a yellow card, but unfortunately he was also booked for naff all earlier in the game. Then what do you know, Davies loses his man on the far post for the goal.

Sadly YES, he did. it was suicidal for himself and the team, cost us big time, we badly needed a result today.

Yeh, he did play well in the game but two moments of madness has let him down, he got booked for a trip on Giggs in the first half which was totally unnecessary, Giggs was inside his own half going nowhere . Hopefully he'll learn from this, I hope someone has a word with him about his shenanigans today though.

No.
The referee did. I've not been so angry at a match in years.

Wilko should be pleased with himself. He played well today. OK he got sent off but hes learning his game on the ultimate stage.
I think we were relatively comfortable today. sorro had about three saves to make.
Shame because I think we deserved more. Missed Mama again.

The ref was the worst i have seen the brit all season. Nothing, absolutly nothing went our way. what a prick. The ref, not wilko. Just though he made a stupid challenge.

He deserved to be sent off for that challenge, but in my view he wouldn't have had a yellow if Ronaldo wasn't diving about like Bruce Willis in an action movie!! Tosser.

I have never moaned so much at a Ref since that famous night away at Gillingham against a certain Mr Styles, today he was simply woeful! The point is though, knowing how bad the Ref was and giving everything against us, but Wilko surely would of known that any next silly challange send him marching down the tunnel for that early shower. I am sorry to say Wilko who is not alone at the club is just not good enough and should be moved on come the window, we need to move forward and replace 'our' squad players with better.

roro-we know it, he knows it but give the lad a break-it will haunt him for a while. He played well today and showed to me what a good full back he is.

The referee cost us today. Actually, the ref was a Mr G Neville. Some other bloke turned up in a green shirt and ran round on the pitch.

I am not slagging the lad off, just sharing my views on the situation and wondered if people agreed or not. I just want best for my football club, is that such a crime? Just frustrated that alongside the Ref, one stupid tackle went on to ruin the match.

It is my opinion that he is not, he's an average Championship player at best who gives it his all. He is a Stokie yes and is living the dream of all us supporters and fair play to him achieving his dream and he will always be remembered as part of the squad that helped us return to top flight football, however alongside other players him, Dicko, Cresswell and Pericard just to name a few should of thanked for there efforts and moved on elsewhere.

Well I disagree I think he proved today that he's good enough by marking the world player of the year out of the game.

Well I disagree I think he proved today that he's good enough by marking the world player of the year out of the game. And then falling for the oldest trick in the book and letting Ronaldo wind him up and get himself sent off. Both Wilko's challenges were profoundly stupid, which, as has been said, is a shame, because he'd had a good game. I have to say that it pissed me off to see him trot off the pitch clappnig the fans. He should be thoroughly pissed off with himself, not bathing in adulation for wildly hacking someone down and arguably losing us tthe game.

He didn't let Ronaldo wind him up, he got wound up by the crowd and was trying to show off, shouldn't be anywhere near the first team now ever again. Shit happens! My phrase of the day I don't see the point in hang, drawing and quartering. He messed up, he'll learn and he'll get better. Stupid tackle but the ref hasn't done him any favours.

It was a reckless challenge that marred an excellent performance from Wilko - he is certainly a promising Premiership defender, very solid defensively, but needs to gain some composure.
I think we could all see the second yellow coming for Wilko - in all honesty Pulis should have subbed him - with Ronaldo diving all over the place and the referee itching to show Wilko the red.
