Neither of my grandads or my dad are footy fans... My uncles are and they occasionally took me as a kid... Then I got into SCWIM and worked for them for six years... And I'm just hooked.

my aunt and uncle in burslem(i know and yes they are fail fans) but in the mid 60's when we started coming up as a family to visit them regularly, and if stoke were at home(division 1) they would get us tickets for me and my dad. from there on in i was hooked and have been ever since. my lad shaun followed suit and is constantly by my side home and away. i feel we are fairly well known home and away as the banbury stokies and we feel proud to be supporters of the best club.

My Mum was a Stoke fan, My Dad supports football I guess and will watch anyone so I guess my Mum led me into the Stoke fold. Home town team too so it was a natural thing. Only supported us though really as neither went the games so I didn't go and wasn't too fussed. Then 4/5 years ago as I went more and more matches I caught the bug properly.

My Dad took me to watch Sir Stan's last match at Stoke against Fulham back in April 1965, think that we won 3-1. Would settle for that scoreline today.
He always wanted me to be able to say that I had seen the great man play. I have since followed Stoke everywhere including abroad, it has brought ecstacy and misery sadly not in equal measure.
Am thoroughly enjoying being back in the top flight and my advice to all is to savour these moments, nothing lasts for ever.

Born in Somerset, and brought up in Hampshire (where I supported Hampshire County Cricket) and Hertfordshire, which included a brief period as a gloryhunter West Ham "fan" in 1975. Parents not into sport of any kind.
Stoke addiction started when I attended my fist match in 1982 as a student at Keele - supported them ever since.
