the BBC report makes it sound like the worst game in the history of football.
'dreadful' and 'miserable'!!!

No it wasn't I thought West Brom were awful but we played quite well.I'm starting to think people are pre-judging our games and then only looking for bad things in them.
I came away today thinking it was a well deserved victory.

I watched it on Football First on Sky where you get an hour of the game. Didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as described. There were a few times where decent play was finished with a lousy cross (by both sides) which was disappointing but a lot of the play looked pretty tidy.
Griffin probably had his worst game so far this season but on the positive i thought Amdy Faye had his best. Still, who cares, this year is all about points. Irespect Mowbray for his views on the game but i'd prefer to establish ourselves first and then improve the play later.

the 1st half wasnt the best, and the second half was much, much better, from us at least. its just because the pretty, tippy tappy football of west brazil didint beat long-ball ugly nasty stoke

Well I thought we should have been 2-0 by half time and if Fuller was playing then we would have been. West Brom were shite and deserve to be bottom. All we need to do now is find the other two teams to make up the next relegated spots
We were sloppy but they were piss poor all over. I thought we dominated in 10 min periods then let them back into the game We should have killed them off in the first half. But still we got the vital three points and we need to move onto the next game against dull.

I enjoyed it, I think chances were few and far between but the whole feeling of the game I thoroughly enjoyed. I was nervous as anything though.

It was a funny game, beacuse it was really the first game this season where we were totally expecting to win. It reminded me of being in The Chamopinship again, and although it was nice to reminisce, thank God we are in The Prem!

I thought the same, very much a championship style match, and i also thought if Fuller had been playing we would have been up at half time, there was one moment where Cresswell has the ball on the left wing and was one on one with the defender, but fell over, Ric would have taken him on and had a shot in there
It wasn't the worse match ever, anyone who saw us at Wigan the other week would agree that was :-)

Who cares? 12 wins we stay up. Give us another 60 million next year and we'll see if we can do better. If I was a West Brom fan I would be gutted. You can see it in Mowbray's eyes - he knows they're doomed. We, at this point in time, are not.

i thought the game was garbage over the 90 minutes and would have been gutted with only 1 point as wba were dire, but we didnt allow them to play with loads of hussle and bussle.overall i thought 2 very poor teams out there today.we are lost without fuller and are deperate for a good forward.kitson didnt have a chance to show off his skills due to injury but if the rumours are true them we will be selling him.

I thought the game was ok from our perspective. We let ourselves down with some woeful crosses but other than that i thought we were bright and relatively sharp. I was surprised by the tone of the BBC report and it echoed that of the commentators, particularly the first half. I thought Cresswell had a good game - worked tirelessly and surprised me with his pace (WBA must be lead footed). He may not be Kitson/Fuller but his workrate made it uncomfortable for WBA. Soares did very little. MoM for me was Delap closely followed by Mama. Delap played a couple of clever through balls (one reverse pass had the pundits gushing) and popped up with a shot or two. Overall, I enjoyed it and felt that we controlled the game for long periods. WBA just seemed toothless. They had a couple of opportunites but inevitably chose the wrong option..their sub needs a good bollocking from TM for trying to score himself instead of squaring it to Miller.

I just want to know one thing. Who cuts West Brom's hair? They look like Stevie Wonder did it. Or a madman. Valero looks like the cuts they give in mental hospitals!! What does that say about them??
ETA Mind you, Cressie's do is a bit suspect.

By no means a classic but Sidibe's goal was superb. A great cross from Higginbotham and an awesome header from Mama.
Those two, with Abdoulaye Faye, Delap and Shawcross, shone brightly and made up for the occasions when we looked somewhat clueless.

Have to agree Delap was my MOM with Shawcross and Sidibe close behind, I thought Amdy Faye had a shocker he was completely AWOL in he first half. The rest just about held together for an untidy win

Worst home performance of the season. Third worst performance in total behind Pompey and Wigan. We were simply awful. WBA look doomed already.
At least we can play that badly and win, but the manager needs to realise that we need to start to do more, and that it might be an idea to have two creative players on at the same time occasionally.

1st half was dire - we were poor, they were even worse. 2nd half much better from us, but West Brom the worst team I've seen this season, and that includes Cheltenham, Rotherham, Bath City and AFC Newport!

I want the Baggies to play for the media, and Stoke to play for us. The problem with the media n, is that they have all forecast us to go down, and are finding it hard to accet that maybe we won't. Tjhey have pinned themselves into a corner, and are finding it hard to say, 'we are wrong.'.

Yes - it was that bad!
Two pretty poor sides in my opinion and to be honest I think both will go down.
Great goal though and probably the only bit of class in the entire 90 minutes.

Definately the worst game of the season so far but who cares
On a weekend when none of the so called Big Four (5 if you include Villa) could find the net - Mama did and thats all that matters
THREE MORE POINTS TOWARDS ANOTHER SEASON IN THE TOP FLIGHT

It wasn't the best of games WBA came to play us 'at our own game' They accused us of wrecking the game at the Hawthorns last year and they came to give us a taste of our own medicine.
They constantly hoofed the ball forwards were very cynical in their 'tackling' if they put as many Arsenal players out as they did ours Adrian Fuckwit on talksport would have had enough material for weeks!
The only down side for them is we outfootballed there clodhopping defence with a stunning goal with the sort of football they can only play in their own 18 yard box!
