We played badly and won - can't complain..
What people seem to forget is that the players are still human and have off days, just like we all do, if we have a bad peformance it doesn't spell the end of the world, sometimes it just happens, we can't go 100mph every week...
An excellent result off the back of the 5-0 loss - well done Stoke

I have seen much worse but altogethor it was a pretty good game with some good chances.
Sidibes header was quality and even SKY had to big it up.

It was poor and looked like the kind of thing you see on The Championship each Sunday.
Still, much easier to take with three points in the bag and a classy goal to win it.

What seems to have been totally lost on everybody is the fact that when Kitson got injured we had been on top of the game from the start and then everything came to a stop for more than 3 minutes. When Cresswell came on it took him a good ten minutes to get into his stride but he will never be up to the level of Ric or even Kitson. He put in a full shift but didn't have the finishing power. Tonge coming on was the thing that changed the match for me. He brought in the extra bit of pace that was needed and his bit of interplay led to the cross for Mama. If Ric had been playing then their back 9 would still have been ripped apart and the game would have been in the earlier part of MOTD but without his pace their back 9 managed to stifle the game into Mowbray's description of 'dross'. We tried to entertain and I certainly enjoyed it. Even having the ref on their side they didn't manage to conjure up any magic. The only way they went forward was when the lumped it because they certainly didn't try and pass it through.

YES...........it was that bad !! I have to laugh at some of the posts on here, especially one "Albion were bad put we were pretty good"!! good god, talk about rose coloured glasses !! while a win is a win is a win, the game was woeful, hardly any skill, 2 shots on goal, unfortunate injuries to Kitson, then Shawcross. And wow, when a team is reduced to using a player like Richard Cresswell for a full game stand in, well what more do you need to say besides he was completely and totally CRAP !!! the skill of Fuller and Lawrence are really and sorely missed when they are not in the team, against a decent team i think we would have been trounced. but we got a much needed 3 points!!

It was a poor game but poor games happen so I'm not concerned at all by it especially as we still won. I'm truly amazed though that fromafar is willing to keep his "I hate Cresswell" tinted glasses on and ingore the fact that his contribution was excellent. As you have correctly stated we hardly created a chance so what would you have him do, just stand around doing nothing? He never gave their back four a second and was involved in the goal, all in all a very professional and selfless display from a player looking far better in his natural position.

Having just sat through Sunderland v West Ham, our game yesterday was like the 1970 World Cup Final. Only Brazil lost.

Why pick on Stoke's game?
Why not Chelsea, Liverpool or Manure's game?
Does any Stoke fan really give a fuck though? Well, a Stoke fan that isn't a PHW.
All I know is, that it was more than good enough for me.

Yes it was bad, but results matter and, as I expected, Stoke won with a cracking goal.
I've said it before on here - the quality of English football is low - it is high on entertainment. Mis-placed passes are common place and defensive errors rife. All this 'Premiership teams play great carpet football' is a myth. OK, Utd, Chelsea and Arse can turn it on but the rest are garbage.
It took one moment of real quality to win a shocking game on Saturday.
