Just had a text off the bloke who told me about Davies, to say we are looking at the possibility of a loan deal for Marek Zienczuk with a view to permanent move.
Don't know anything about him, or if he has been mentioned before

61 goals in 213 games.
Just under 1 in 4.
Good stats for a midfielder

oatcakefanzine.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=39010&page=2Zienczuk is a veteran whose been around for a bit, sort of like Lobo hasn't lived up to his potential, he is a left mid. if you take a guy i hope this is him. he has big game potential and had the 2nd most amount of goals in the Polish league, but i believe we should have sold him a year or two ago when we had the chance with his value being deent. he has big game potential and the stats BUT he doesn't show up in the big game, plus Boguski, Piotr Brozek, Diaz, and Malecki could feasibly do his job. i am wishing and hoping that is the guy poland.worldcupblog.org/1/polish-league-season-20072008-my-review.html Marek Zienczuk (Wisla, 16 goals, 11 assists, 6,67 avr): Zienczuk’s career best season. He was the driving force behind Wisla’s success and helped Pawel Brozek win the golden boot. His goalscoring record is even more astonishing if we take into consideration the fact that he didn’t score a single goal last season. Unfortunately, he’s not a player of international status. Received chances from Leo Beenhakker in friendlies against Hungary and Estonia but failed to impress. Too old to be considered a prospect for the future. Looks good on youtube - but don't they all?

Well I am guessing this would be seperate from the player the Sentinel are hinting at, as that is a striker, and this bloke is a midfielder

I'd be pleased if we signed him as he's left-footed and looks to have some ability.
But I suppose there'd be concerns about him being the best we could do.
He's 29 and hasn't got a move to Western Europe and is still stuck in a bit of a backwater of a league, and he's not regularly in the mix for the Polish national team.
But he'd give us an outlet and a proper left foot - so get him in!

I would be very happy with a left footed midfielder with pace who can put a cross in.
Difficult to comment whether this bloke would be that man as I know absolutely nothing about him apart from what others have posted in this thread
