as ive said i dont believe you (probably because of all the shit whats been posted before by numerous other people who are supposedly in the know) the only way we will know for certain is when we find out tommorrow as ive said nothing is for certain as the player may have a complete change of heart while lieing in bed tonight.
for all we know he could be 1 of the 72 guests looking at this board right now to see what the fans would think of him signing, players have done it before.
if you are reading this Scott you know it makes sense to join us as look at the legends we've previously had play in goal for us you could be the next Gordon Banks

stoke1981, looking at your post history, you do seem to be partial to some West Brazil bumming so I think I might take your info with a pinch of skepticism.

If it does happen it happens...but i can't imagine him getting a warm welcome if he does turn his back on us...either stay loyal or become 1 of the most disliked players to majority of Stoke fans....but i have a feeling he will be a Potters player by the end of tomorrow...keep the faith fellow Stokie's...I'm 16 & I'm more calm than majority on this forum & speak more sense than the majority...because let's face it we have no control in this club so we can't do anything about it really we can moan & groan about not signing players but what is there we as Stoke fan's can do....not alot if you think about it just keep the faith with Pulis (and I'm not TP's greatest fan but he has shown what he can do so stop slagging him off & get behind him) that's all I have got to say...btw Apologize for going into something different...but it's getting on my nerves people saying stupid comments.

How much would Manunited want for Ben Foster?

How much would Manunited want for Ben Foster? Don't be so bloody soft. Wasn't there a Baggies fan on here when we were getting all excited saying he'd gone straight to the Hawthorns after the Brit? If that's true then I imagine there's probably something in this story. As ridiculous as it sounds to be indifferent about signing an England international, I really wouldn't be bothered if we missed out on him, as long (obviously) as we picked up someone else, hopefully Fulop. In fact I think I'd honestly rather have Fulop than Carson. Not because of his England clanger but for the fact that the only real experience he's had in the Prem is with Villa, and it's difficult to find a good word said about him by Villa fans. Pretty much to a man they say he's a liability. I think I'd rather he were between WBA's sticks tbh.

Yeah, Carson and Cech would represent a good days work for WBA. West Bromwich Albion to complete signing of Scott Carson and Marek Cech Jul 15 2008 by Chris Lepkowski in Holland/Germany ALBION were today hoping to complete the double signing of Scott Carson and Marek Cech. The Baggies aim to seal the signature of Liverpool keeper Carson in a deal worth close to £4million, with Cech due to follow for a fee of around £2million. Stoke City made a move for the ex-Villa loanee Carson yesterday but Albion had already matched the Potters’ offer, effectively leaving the matter in the player’s hands. The 22-year-old met Tony Pulis yesterday but was expected to finalise terms with Albion sometime today. And he is likely to be joined by Slovakian defender Cech, who is due to rubber-stamp a move from FC Porto. The left-back held talks with Albion last week and underwent a medical, leaving just the formalities to complete. Tony Mowbray was in frequent dialogue with club officials from Albion’s Dutch training camp yesterday and hinted that possible deals may be imminent. The Baggies first tried to sign England international Carson three years ago when Bryan Robson was manager. The keeper, then with Leeds United, ended up joining Liverpool. Since then he has made just nine appearances for the Reds, spending season-long loan periods at Charlton and Villa, along with a shorter spell at Sheffield Wednesday. He has been capped twice, making his debut in a 1-0 friendly win against Austria last November, before playing in the infamous defeat to Croatia in the decisive European Championship qualifier. Meanwhile, Cech, who has 27 caps for Slovakia, has played 80 times for Porto since joining them in 2005. He helped them to the 2005/06 league and cup double but found his first-team opportunities harder to come by last season. The 25-year-old started his career at Inter Bratislava before moving to Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic. www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/west-bromwich-albion-fc-news/2008/07/15/west-bromwich-albion-to-complete-signing-of-scott-carson-and-marek-cech-97319-21341323/

Cech is the sort of player we ought to be after! We need a sodding left back! We neeed to get our fingers out! When they sign Cech they will have 2 good full backs-one with champions league experience and one who is a Dutch U-21. We'll have Griffin and Dicko!

The noises aren't very promising , are they?
I think we've lost out.
And where to look for a plan B, in light of the Sentinel's claim that Fulop would cost a whopping £3m.

Hi, Baggies fan in peace here.
Just to say that generally speaking what Chris Lepoweski writes, happens. He's something of a Brummie Mail insider at our club, although we were told that Paddy McCourt woudl sign, and then got gazumped by Celtic, so as they say, its not over till the fat lady (Carson?) sings.

I'm sure its all true and Chris Lepoweski has the ear of Mowbray, who is obviously quietly confident of landing Carson. Similar noises are coming out of Stoke and Boro too it seems.
I'd be surprised if Stoke pulled it off from here, but all isn't lost for us I'd say. What seems clear though is that we'll all be put out of our misery today. At least the saga appears to be short, and hopefully sweet..

The amount of goalkeeping puns somewhat reduces the validity of this report.
Southgate To Save Carson
Scott Carson was at the Britannia Stadium yesterday finalising personal terms with Stoke City.
It is reported that Stoke's offer of just under £4million has been accepted by Liverpool and the only thing that remains is that Scott agrees personal terms.
Gareth Southgate has been alerted by the actions at Stoke City and is ready to hijack the transfer and parry Stoke's interest. After all I think Stoke are punching above their weight on this one.
Southgate will speak to Carson today and try and persuade the 22-year-old to move to the Riverside this summer.
Boro fans will be keeping their fingers crossed over the next 24 hours as Southgate tries his best to claim the Cumbria-born goalkeeper. Southgate may have saved the best signing until last.
