After going down the Stanley mathews suite the other night for the meeting for all those affected, I had an email from the club today saying my new seat will be in block 40.
They said at the meeting they’d just flip and mirror the seat allocation. My seat since 2008 there has been on the divide between away fans, so I was told it would be just the other side of the divide instead like just flipped over. It’s a bloody block away.
When I rang today they said it’s a comparable seat location. No it’s bloody not it’s about 20 seats away from the divide. So who have they put there if that’s the closest they could offer.
After speaking to them today I’ve managed get right back on the divide on the same row I’ve always been on for years as they had 8 seats in a line vacant.
Why the hell didn’t they just replicate that switch then? What was the point in going down at 6.30pm the other night for an hours meeting with loads of pretty pictures on the big screen and promises to the flip and mirror the seat allocation.
Anyone else in the south stand I suggest you check where they’ve put you.
Oh and it was far away from my mates who we’ve sat together for years.
Rant over

You can just swap for any available seats in the ground after the 17th May though can't you?

We were told we would be in the same seats but ion the other side of the divide. Ended up being a block away and nowhere near my mates! Yet ask them and suddenly the seats we should have had are available so now had them. Poor for me that

At the meeting i went someone said their mirrored seat would put them in the plod box so obviously their seats wouldn't quite be mirrored, but does seem strange they didn't give you a mirrored seat when it was there..

So they gave you something you didn’t want and replaced it for something you wanted? I’d call that good customer service.

This is always going the cause issues with the relocation of the seats and such a big change. In my opinion they should not have automatically relocated anyone and when the switch over date came and allowed people to pick the seats they want and a first come first served basis.

I sit in a seat on the divide for 15 years. I get promised a seat other the other side of the divide about 29 seats away from where I am now. I get put over a block away I spend an hour down the ground one evening going through the process and told it will just be mirrored the other side of the divide. I call that useless, only put right because I picked up on an email and spotted the seat.

What someone have my seat location on the divide I’ve had for 15 years and end up by the tunnel or something? Not on my watch 😜 The simple way was what was agreed at the meetings down the ground by all those that attended and just mirror flipped seat locations where possible

Don’t think they wanted me there on the divide no more 😜 Hooligan...😁 Old age comes to us all … It'll be the club’s way of trying to break it to you gently that they think you’re past it , your downfall , being caught on cctv once to often actually watching the game and taking the odd breather by leaning back on your seat .. The club will have clearly earmarked those places for our 14-16 year old scallies who they can trust to give it the full 90 minutes of cut throat and hand gestures to the pre pubescent away fans across the divide Give it a season or two and it’ll be flask and blanket time anyway 🤪

Shit that it did but once spotted it sounds like it’s been handled excellently.
