Listening while watching makes you realise how awful the commentary is. Half the action is missed whilst cakes and chocolates etc are given in great detail. It's supposed to be a commentary of a football match describing the action on the pitch, this lot haven't a clue. Donβt forget the chocolate eclair he found in his pocket It would be very vey difficult to forget a chocolate Γ©clair in your pocket. The only reason I don't describe the commentary as rubbish is that it isn't that good!!

Watching the stream on telly and listening to this clown commentating.... Campbell goal " he slipped that past the goalkeeper beautifully " the shot wasn't brilliant, straight at the keeper and it went through his legs, terrible attempt to save it. Doesn't this commentator look at what actually happened.

My favourite from today was "the shot kissed the post..it missed the post and it just grazed the post"
How is anyone listening meant to know if we hit the post or not? π

It's shite.....mostly verbal diarrhea....I wonder if he gabbles in his Sleep? 'Bring back Nigel'..at least he pretends that he knows what's happening on the pitch. π₯Έ

I think he's been abysmal all season. He started off lousy and apart from the very occasional rare lapse into actual football commentary he's been abysmal. The. Radio Stoke commentary is like trying to watch a football game whilst listening to two people having a natter whilst out walking their dogs. A lot of the time it bears no resemblance whatsoever to what is actually happening on the pitch.

Didnβt go today as got unavoidable stuff on tonight so had the commentary on the stream If people pick fault in that commentary today itβs sad tbh as both were excellent He's great on a stream when the game is in front of you and you don't need second-by-second updates. I like him a lot more than the generic Sky Sports androids who all talk, inflect and break up sentences in the same way with the same careful form of words. The TV footage with Nige overlaid a couple of years ago occasionally made Nige look a bit daft when he made mistakes. I feel that there's a lot of room for improvement as a radio commentator. He just needs to be better at keeping up with the actio. Often, when something important happens, he hesitates for just a touch too long. You hear the crowd noise, you hear play move on and then he tells you what just happened. Nigel Johnson was fantastic at painting a vivid picture of what was going on, and I would humbly suggest that this is where Sohail could improve. I enjoyed how excited he got about the possibility of Crewe dropping out of the play-off places. He's grown on me a lot.

Ah, the old benefit of watching a match on TV πΊ from the comfort of one's living room ππ» & of course with the added benefit and hindsight of 'replays', instead of being viewed live from the rear of a stand where the moments seen 'once' at real time & where the view is often obstructed or obscured by players in line of sight as well! π

Doing a decent enough job. Just don't tell Joey Barton. It's supposed to be a professional radio station though, if I wanted to listen to a supporter give their opinion on the match I'd just go to the pub. As long as it's not someone as clueless as you i'm happy enough.Way better than we had an ex Stoke player doing it,naming no names.

Heβs flawed but he seems like a genuinely nice bloke whoβs very passionate about what he does.
Eccentric and a bit odd at times but I have to say I quite enjoy him.

The confectionary nonsense seems less annoying that it first was. Nigel had lots of ideosyncrasies too, which most of us came to love. Sohail is getting better-but someone tell him it's 'when the saints go marching In'!

I do wish Pejic would fuck off he praised us most of the game and criticised Bristol's coach for playing naively
