I donāt get this hate for vale, I love Steve ke and have always supported stoke most probably because of me dad coming from south side of stoke , (that in itself sounds weird cus it aināt really big bar the five/six towns thing) football was still merging I grew up with, for perspective Iām 54 n 3/4 I remember going stoke games from (this is vague 8~11) I got into it and loved playing and watching me side me dad took us too watch. Also remember fondley getting the big sentinal late edition not the green un or anything like that and just enjoying reading about the review of the game that same game Iād gone watch. Would also just read about the columns about how our follow local teams had got on , you know just read some oneās interpretation of a game through a newspaper. Sitting there in front of a coal fire flicking through them sports part of local football. To hear whatās gone on. Is it not possible to get on with our neighbors whilst being competitive. (Maybe I should consentrate on cricketš¤·āāļø) Have a look what is occurring around us cus of a āthemā thing. Enjoy a competitive game of nogger but 4 alls sake have peace. If our fans were trapped in the Bet365 whilst it was burning to the ground Vale fans would be throwing aerosol cans at it. Thatās what every one has done for ever, canāt we find a way not to spoil lives,

I know I get flamed for this but Vale going down isnāt good for the city. Iād rather have two thriving clubs, like wot proper cities often have. Iād have preferred them to survive. There, Iāve said it. Iām a Stoke fan, obviously, but also I will defend the city as a whole against the crap that gets thrown at it by the media and ignorant people. Stoke on Trent is a good city with good people and having two clubs makes us all stronger. Flame away, Iāve had worse. Defend the city all you like mate but I can guarantee there would be no and I mean NO Vale fans "defending the city" if the tables were turned! Yes there would.

Sounds like Darren Moore is safe. I know I shouldn't say this and perhaps it's intellectual snobbery but it would trouble me that he appears unable to string a meaningful sentence together. Perhaps it doesn't matter in the world of football but it sure makes his interviews a tough listen.

I like the Vale and sad they have been relegated. Back in the 60s my bezzy mate was a Vale fan (he still is a season ticket holder) whilst I was Stoke because my Dad was and his dad had been, so it was in the family. But I would go occasionally "up the Vale" with my mate walking from Wolstanton, down Pit Green Lane through middleport and up to Burslem. Then he would sometimes come with me and Dad to watch Stoke. Itās just how it was and can see nothing wrong with it just he was Vale I was Stoke.

My great grandad had a season ticket for Stoke and Vale and would go to alternate home games, so every Saturday one or the other. I guess there is banter and I know I'm the last person to speak fondly of the Vale, but wanting them gone which means jobs and history is a little too much personally. They are far more use being where they are and existing just for us to take the piss out of rather than disappearing š
