Im not convinced anyone was cheering for that wanker coming on mate Well they certainly weren’t against it mate They are both a disgrace to the shirt mate and both can have zero complaints at the mild verbal abuse they get from justifiably angry, frustrated supporters. It's part of the game - They need to deal with it. I hope we never see either of them play for the club again. Being crap at football is one thing but the poor attitude is intolerable.

To be fair when he first came Schumacher said he had spoken to Campbell who'd said he saw himself as a central striker not a wide man and that is where he wanted to play. The best strikers make their own chances and I can't think of any other central striker who can't win a single header and who is so easily knocked off the ball. I seem to recall his predecessor saying the same thing. He’s simply not a lone striker in any way shape or form. The sooner Campbell himself realises it the better. You get the feeling that Schumacher has gone out of his way to give Campbell the central role he craves but surely that has to end after yesterday. This quote from Schumacher's press conference, though aimed at the team, sums up Campbell perfectly "I felt we were a little bit too passive. It took us 78 minutes to make a tackle and that’s not going to get you any results against a team as good as Norwich. We weren’t close enough, we weren’t aggressive enough and when we did have the ball we gave it away too cheaply as well.” I think that the striker's performance often sets the tone for the rest of the team. If they see their centre forward chasing everything, making a nuisance of himself, closing down, pressing the gk, challenging for headers then it encourages them to pass quickly, to rush up in support. If on the otherhand your centre forward is just making token efforts and losing the ball all the time they start to look at other, safer options ie the gk or defenders. That is why our tempo increased once Ennis, not a patch on Campbell ability wise, but buzzing about defenders causing them to rush their passes, making it easier for our midfield to perhaps nick the ball.

I don't think his best position is out wide either - I think he's a central striker who needs a partner who will do the donkey work that he can feed off. The best performance by a lone striker I have seen this season was Armstrong for QPR - I thought he was outstanding. If we are going to persist with a 4321 (and I'm not a fan) we need someone like him upfront, Campbell just isn't that player.

He believed all the hype from his Dad and has been dreadful ever since the rumours of Premier League clubs being interested in him, then the injury he sustained killed off any spark of potential that he had.

These days though every player is expected to do the donkey work even in the top Premier teams. Nobody plays a luxury player who just provides the icing on the cake. Even Fuller, who you could argue had Sidibe helping bear the burden, did far more of the physical work in the final third than Campbell is prepared to do.

He's not a lone striker.
However, if we are going to play him as one he has one asset and that's pace, so we need to see him running on to balls.
He either doesn't want to or can't be physically strong enough to receive a ball and hold a defender off.
For me he'd either play wide or not at all. Preferably not at all because seeing him lumber around the pitch, seemingly phoning it in every week, is annoying as fuck.

Where do we think he’ll end up?
I still think he’ll end up on a PL bench.

Campbell was given the chance once again yesterday to prove the majority of us wrong however once again he not only failed, his performance lacked everything a pro footballer should be able to do. That would tell me that he cant do what is required or wont so there is no way his name should be in our team ever again. Let someone else try and get something out of him, we have persevered long enough

There must be a belief in football now that Stoke is the issue not the player? I mean so many leave and do well. I also think he’d be a cheap gamble for someone.

Where do we think he’ll end up? I still think he’ll end up on a PL bench. Highly unlikely. He lacks the quality and consistency to play in the top tier whilst his statistics in terms of goals and assists are pretty average. I can see a move to Scotland or maybe a sideways move to another Championship club.

I don’t particularly rate the lad and he clearly doesn’t want to be here but jeez the quality of balls our forwards get is criminal.

I mean so many leave and do well. I also think he’d be a cheap gamble for someone. Not as much weight as his body. If he wants to get a PL club he had better head off to Lourdes as quickly as possible, as it will take a miracle for that to happen. Name even one PL club that might sign him, even if he agreed to play for nothing. Stoke is the issue? If that was the case then clubs would be queueing up to sign our gems. We put the whole lot up for sale and nobody even inquired about them, never mind made an offer.

The only way he is getting near a PL bench is if he changes career to kitman.

I don’t particularly rate the lad and he clearly doesn’t want to be here but jeez the quality of balls our forwards get is criminal. The trouble is if he wants the ball to feet as we keep getting told he has to make a move into space.. Finding someone's feet with two defenders in between needs sliderule passing. Or does he expect the midfielders to run past everyone then lay it on a ate for him to score? I agree our passing into the box is not good but he doesn't help. I think Mmaee had three balls played into his feet inside the box yesterday in the short time he was on the pitch and he wasn't even playing centre forward. I can't remember one to Campbell.

I suspect come Oct people will be saying how come he is scoring regularly for x but didnt here . Hes our best forward by some way but its not a lot or research to work out that his best spell was playing with a target man not being one . its sheer incompetence not to have tried it with either Ennis or Wesley he cant bully defenders he cant win headers but he can run with the ball and he can finish it’s another example of utterly contemptible management.

If as was reported, we accepted the 850k bid from Verona in January, I'm amazed he didn't take the plunge and move to Italy.
I know where I'd be going if I were him.

He couldn’t wait to get off that pitch yesterday🤷♂️ It really made me cringe, he was halfway off the pitch before he realised it wasn't his number, then did an awkward hovver around the center circle before jogging off after he was then pulled off. I've always wanted him to do well for us but what a bell he seems to be, seemingly like his old man.
