Isolated. Not sure what the fuck he was meant to do really. Everything today is on the manager. He could have tried moving no closing down One run in behind, and of course he was offside one header where he almost got both feet off the ground In a game where at least 7 of our players put in a shocker he was the worst of the lot, quite an achievement Deserves every criticism he gets today, disgusting performance

Possibly the worst reception I’ve heard to a player leaving the pitch today. For a player that was once so highly regarded it’s nothing short of an absolute travesty.

Try reading next time Bayern. Ennis was much worse than Campbell despite not being as isolated as Campbell was when he was on.

That’s what happens when you don’t move Nothing to do with that. Well it’s abit easier to defend if he just walks about like he has no interest whatsoever and even when he did move he didn’t time his run, and don’t tell me it’s the system because he’s been the same for years now under 3 mangers. Fucking toss

Anyone who still makes a case for Campbell after all this time is quite frankly not worth arguing with. Throughout the last 3 or 4 seasons overall his contribution has been woeful. The Stanley Matthews Statue burns more calories than him and looks more of a Goal Threat ! A nothing player with no interest in bettering himself at Stoke. A 60%er in everything he does. My heart brakes when I see him on the Team sheet. Sick of saying it but he is a Fraud. Get Rid

Let’s put it another way the opposition had a 34year old striker that never gave up, can anyone remember where he allowed the keeper time on the ball all game,Barnes was a menace all game, unlike Campbell, that’s the difference , Campbell won’t be missed and shouldn’t even play another game.

Isolated. Not sure what the fuck he was meant to do really. Everything today is on the manager. 100% agree. What was the manager expecting him to do exactly? Everyone in the stadium knows he’s totally ineffective up front on his own so why can’t the bloke who’s watching him train everyday? It’s exasperating to watch.

It’s exasperating to watch. Corrected for you He’s a wide player. If you’re going to play him up front then it’s got to be alongside a target man type who will win the ball in the air and allow him to run in behind. He’s been strung up by the manager.

Formation and tactics are no excuses!!!
If we played Iversen in midfield I would still expect 100% effort and commitment.
Campbell literally strolls around for 80%~90% of the game.
I could buy some of it if he had electric pace and could impact the game in between his laziness.
Biggest waste of a shirt and a wage.

Yep and resorting to punting long balls up to a guy that’s not renowned for his heading ability was absolutely crazy Campbell has looked good for Stoke in that period of time when he played off Steven Fletcher. No coincidence. Play him off a target man who can lead the line and he’s useful. Stick him upfront by himself and he’s useless.
