I manage a sales team of 7. My top producer is a female, great girl, she came in today and greeted me with "morning fuckface", I replied "morning shithouse". I then made us both a cuppa, but I suppose I should be arrested????? That's the exact opposite of sexist - it's two people treating each other as equals sharing a joke. The equivalent would be if Rodgers said "good girl" in a mock demeaning way and she replied "thanks little man" in a similar way and they both shared the joke. It's the intent that matters, not the words. If Rodgers said "good girl" in a way intended to assert his superiority and demean the journalist rather than share a joke then it's sexist.

I've been in shops, cafes pubs and the female staff have called me luv, sweet, darling, so far I've been able to carry on my life without having some kind of woke meltdown.
Yep, the world has gone mad...well not the whole world just the left side and media

Will we get to the point where I have to start calling people out with faux outrage for calling me duck? We won't get there will we? I like being called duck. Wonder what PETAs stance on us appropriating animal names will be? Are the pronoun gurus gonna be safe calling themselves Two Spirit animals anymore? Or is it all just a load of bollox..

I suggest that those who simply point a finger at men for being naughty, go to you tube and type in something like feminism, or modern women and get a bag of popcorn and sit back and then come on and tell us how men are so far in the past.

Commonly used term of endearment in NI. 'Babe' is also a term of endearment all over the world and you wouldn't say that to a random person you were talking to. He knew her. Stoke and other people say duck to random strangers, shall we all run around with our arms in the air screaming being offended at that ?

If no means no, why is the persistent attempts by the woman to ignore it from Brendan not cause for outrage and uproar?

Just going away from the main topic. Has anyone noticed the stupid language that's now crept in .
One of my female colleagues proudly announced that her daughter had become a "baby mother" What the fuck else would you be the mother of. Their are certain prefixes attached to the word mother ie Grand, Step, God etc but if you have had the baby you are the mother full stop.

But I'm guessing you don't know him so I would suggest you are basing your entire opinion that he is an "effing misogynist" on one incident that is obviously up for interpretation as its a 4 page discussion on here. Seems very judgemental to me, but carry on...

He didn't talk down to her in the interview and she wasn't offended, so why do people feel entitled to be offended on her behalf. This is reminiscient of the Spanish player laughing and joking about that kiss(which should never have happened) with her teammates and was then informed that she was letting down the sisterhood and must say that she was traumatised by it. Certainly seemed unaffected by it in her interaction with her fellow players. I always think that people who get offended on behalf of others are those that patronise the most. Its like saying this person isn't intelligent or mature enough to decide whether they are offended so i'll do it for them. There, there poppet.

I was called a cunt of a man once at work by a lady. It was over a photocopier that ran out of A4 paper. Yes and currently you can't respond with the most appropriate response. Simply sighing and saying "Well, you ARE what you eat." Pretty sure she'd find that offensive.

Yes, the UK has gone bonkers. If ever Putin invades he will just walk right in while people are arguing about pronouns etc. As Morrissey says, "stop watching the news..."

To be fair, I think Brendan has actually assumed her gender as well. She might identify as summat else. We best consult with the pronoun crew to check we're okay there as well π

The girl herself had absolutely no problem with what he said but others still making an issue out of it
Says a lot about re where the real problem lies. Not with her or Rodgers
