Completely inappropriate and sexist comment to a female journalist whose back doors I would definitely kick in.

My Mum always called young girls 'Wee Whores' 😁 Watersports. 😁 I can remember her saying to a gf of mine at school she gave a lift to ...what's this wee whores name ? I had to explain to her later that she wasn't implying your potential trade after your exams To be fair calling a lad a whore was common as well if you did something wrong..you daft whore etc This dissecting what people say has become nonsense

It is pretty patronising. You’re patronising, you should apologise immediately

I was called a cunt of a man once at work by a lady. It was over a photocopier that ran out of A4 paper. I got called a bad boy by a woman at work today, also over a photocopier - more of an A3 man if you know what I mean

I usually call women who I don't know the name of,'Love', it was probably'Duck', when I worked in the Pots, but that was a lifetime ago. I can't remember ever being challenged over this, mind you my memory is pretty useless these days🥴 I am in my 70's and still do this. Is it wrong? Like you I have never had anyone challenge it and I have similarly been called "love" or "duck" by lots of females over the years and still get it. I see it as being friendly and polite. I really don't understand the fuss when there is absolutely no bad intent, in fact the opposite.

Yep- particularly as a common saying in his country I used to know a a woman who called everyone Lover- I hope people didn't take it literally. She looked Russel Grant

The interviewer said she wasn't fazed at all by it so that should be good enough but no. Its people who have nothing to do with it who start the problem. The only ones who seem to be fazed are probably third wave feminists and white knights.

He didn't talk down to her in the interview and she wasn't offended, so why do people feel entitled to be offended on her behalf. This is reminiscient of the Spanish player laughing and joking about that kiss(which should never have happened) with her teammates and was then informed that she was letting down the sisterhood and must say that she was traumatised by it. Certainly seemed unaffected by it in her interaction with her fellow players.

Its like saying this person isn't intelligent or mature enough to decide whether they are offended so i'll do it for them.

The only people that got excited by this were the producers of the segment that knew they were about to release something that would make money.
Rodgers is a bit of a dick. If she had a problem with it, hopefully she was able to talk to him about it after. It did seem quite of a dickish saying.

Rubbish. What he said and the way he said it is patronising as shit. No man would like to be called "good boy" that way so why should it be okay to say it to a woman? No man would give a fuck about being called "good boy". That there is the difference between the sexes.

According to talksport yesterday they've had a good old laugh about the weirdo's getting upset by it and apparently have a cracking relationship with the odd feisty exchange. She does her job asking probing annoying questions and he occasionally gets irritated by it. Imagine if Woy had asked her if she was taking the piss? 🤣

At the end of the day its patronising and belittling and shows an outdated sexist attitude towards women, if anyone thinks that the Brendan Rodgers comment is ok Im afraid youve been left so far behind the times, and Id expect youd be happpy with that tbh and couldnt care less. I personally will leave the term for my pets.
