Any regrets in life/ biggest regret?
I don't think! I have many,
But I wish I'd have seen Elvis in the 70s
What are your regrets?

I do wish I'd have seen Frank as well.
And Deano and many Motown acts
And Roy Orbison
DC has put the thread into perspective on Friday night!

I don’t believe that “things happen for a reason”. I think that shit things happen and some people do well when they pivot and others don’t.
I’ve made mistakes in life. I’ve treated people worse than they deserved and I’ve given others more of me than they should have. That’s life. I’m very happy with my current life though and I live in a steady state of excitement for my future.

A 5 quid BJ outside Valentinos.
I'd just finished working a vodka red bull night and I only had a fiver, so went for a kebab instead.
For some random reason one of my 'dorm' mates shit his pants and after getting the same proposition ran all the way back to Keele Uni, rather than waiting for a taxi. We ended up jogging after him.

Being a cocky bell end at school. Was certainly clever enough (insert witty retort here) but completely wasted my education, it’s been a long old road from the bottom of the pile.
Falling into debt with my first mortgage after a break up with my daughters mother and eventually being repossessed with nothing but a hold-all.
Not trying harder to push my Dragons Den invention of the sleep pods you find in Japan etc these days😀. It was a good 10 years after I thought of it to when I saw them appear.
Missing out on a catch up with my mate the day before he was killed just before Christmas.
Never seeing England in a major tournament (so far).

Saw Eric at the rah myself, January 1988. Would have loved to have seen jimi Hendrix also but alas I was to young 😡. A good friend of mine who is older than me saw Hendrix at chislehurst caves early 1967 and he told me he part exchanged his guitar for a bass guitar the very next day 😁

Not going into wildlife full time from School. Not having my camera set up when that Merlin was perched on a wall of a bridge. Not going to Glastonbury in 2008 when their was tickets and The Verve headlined.
Not helping a Badger and a Hedgehog sort out their differences resulting in one going missing.

Not learning a language (it’s not too late I suppose)
Wasting thousands of pounds on designer clothes in my late teens/early twenties which could have paid for a deposit on a house.
Not moving to Europe with work when I had the chance, didn’t feel like the right time but I should have just gone for it.
Nothing that keeps me up at night though……

Turned down a job in LA as didn't like the bloke involved, he looked like Millhouse's Dad as well which didn't help.
Leaving my brother to feed and take care of my pet snake when on an extended holiday
Came back to a draught excluder

Absolutely loads of music ones, off the top of my head ...
Not going to see Frank at the Albert Hall, when my Dad offered me (I was grown up by then) a ticket because his girlfriend was ill. Not going to Spike Island to see the Roses, when all my mates were piling into cars in the pub car park where we drinking that afternoon ... I told them it was bound to be wank and ultimately it was but I still (obviously) wish I had gone. My Dad stopping me from going to Knebworth in 79 because he thought I was too young, even though the older lads who lived next door to us, said they'd look after me. My Mum asked my what I wanted for my 15th birthday, and I asked her for tickets to watch Blondie at the Manchester Apollo but she ended up getting me tickets to watch Lindisfarne at the Manchester Apollo the following night because Blondie was sold out!

I came very, very close to actually seeing Sinatra, Zeppelin, Stone Roses and Blondie, so regret that ultimately it didn't happen but unfortunately, the Beatles split up when I was three, so that one, was never actually a goer.

Making a face at a cat sitting under the window in next door's front garden when I was 7.
Turned out their whole family, along with their visiting deaf nephew, were stood looking out of said window.
When the mum came round later to say making faces at someone just because they wear a hearing aid is not very nice, even at that age I knew it was pointless trying to explain.

He was a knob, and I didn't know he was deaf until I'd already sniped him.

Looking back, I regret being a little too intense with my family, not enjoying the little moments in life and giving the kids room to become their own person sooner.

I was at Knebworth in 1979, overall it was pretty good. Didn't recognise a lot of the Zeppelin stuff because I wasn't that big a fan and Stairway to heaven was right at the end. Richard Digance did a great job infilling and was genuinely funny, must have been difficult. Lob in Chas and Dave, Fairport Convention et al and the £7.50 was well spent. I'll always regret never getting to see Fleetwood Mac. I believe Sainsbury (Knebworth branch) are still hunting their shopping trollies, become a collectors piece now apparently.

Not being more proactive in life.
I’m very happy with my lot, but have literally fallen in to virtually every aspect of my life.
I’m lucky and it’s worked out well, but with application, I could have been a contender.

Not trying harder at school. I was a pretty clever, bright, class clown.
Getting into the Smiths too late to see them live. Literally, 6 months later they split.
Smashing up my mates go-kart aged 10, after he asked me to, because he wanted a new one. His mum came round later, and tore my 'no nonsense' Dad a new arsehole on the doorstep. That ended well.
Not moving away to 'nicer pastures' when I had the chance. One of the reasons (or at least, a consideration) - I loved watching Stoke on a Saturday. FFS. I was much younger tbf.
Being a bit of an obstinate fucker with various people around me, over time.
Not having a better relationship with my Dad. More his doing than mine, but still...

I’ve also had a couple of opportunities to get away from Stoke and start a new life in much more pleasant climes, but one of the key reasons that stopped me was SCFC and match days. Youth really is wasted on the young…
