Our former legendary goalscorer has been hanging round Vale Park all day today according to my impeccable source. Anyone else know anything? BTW The BINGO! phrase for this thread is 'Just watch him score against us in the derby next season'.

They need a striker, he lives in Stafford, he's without a club.
I could see it happening in fairness.......

Please let it happen. Can't wait to watch the soapdodgers get excited about signing such a big name, then go through the denial phase where 'he just needs the right service', before finally realising that their new man's legs have well and truly gone.

There was an old player called Dwight Who played for a team who wore white Their fans loved Tom Pope But didn't love soap And consequently all smelled of pig shite There once was a striker named Gayle, Who set course for lowly Port Vale, He hoped there for success But failed to impress And all efforts on goal did fail and A goalless wonder named Dwight Lost his job at the red and white Stoke fans did revel That the Vale is his level For they both are equally sh*te

Genuinely think he might still struggle at that level. He might just need to get his confidence in front of goal back. If he does, I could see him scoring a good few.

He will get goals for Port Vale. Its nailed on He was never good enough for us. He always scored goals everywhere else he played but not here. That seems to be the case with strikers for us can score at other clubs but not here

I think he's done even at league one level. Having said that I hope they sign him, he fails miserably and the twats slide down the leagues back to where they belong.
