For 500k he isn't going to be the new Pele is he? He runs, battles for the ball and isn't afraid to have a shot. Already that puts him above the absolute dross we've got on the books.

I liked what I saw. Made some good runs and linked up play well. Played for the manager before so will know what he wants from him and back him in the dressing room.
Think he will score goals for us but these days strikers shouldn't be just judged on goals.

I liked what I saw TBH. Positives were a willingness to run the channels , a decent pace, a seemingly decent strike and a desire to work for the team. Been here a couple of weeks so it is difficult to go big either way, but lots to admire and not a lot to dislike. A positive thus far in a sea of absolute mediocrity

Thought he did quite well, possibly the best we have at the moment, puts himself about a bit, unlike Mmaee who looks like he can't be arsed half the time!!!

I was afraid he'd be a bit too lightweight, but he doesn't seem to get bullied and certainly doesn't hide. Good work-rate too, with more support he could be a winner.

Impressed with the lad. The best of a bad bunch. Worked hard, ran the channels, neat link up play and not afraid to pull the trigger. Providing we can get a good striker in the summer he’s a good option to have around.

I think he'll get better and better as he gets fitter ( and if he can stay fit!). He's barely played for months, but his work rate was great. Almost forgot what it was to have a striker work like that. The poor first touch isn't a criticism that's been levelled at him previously, although I agree it's been in evidence so far here. The Blackburn lot thought his touch was atrocious. But then they really didn't see that much of him either

Worked his nuts off and ran himself into the ground.
Preferred their lad who is definitely one worth keeping an eye on…Sinclair Armstrong

Has potential. He looks more of a threat than anyone else we’ve got at the min.
Defo better in a 2.
With a run of games I think he will score goals.

Compared to Campbell he's an upgrade. Never stopped last night?
Really like him.

As others have said, he worked ‘arrrrrrrd and chased stuff down and that’s exactly what’s been lacking - a steal at 500k and a great start

The Blackburn lot thought his touch was atrocious. But then they really didn't see that much of him either Yeah, they saw about as much of him as us, didn't they? It was never something mentioned at Plymouth, albeit at League One. And Schumacher said things bouncing off him at the weekend was unusual for him, and he worked with him for nearly 3 years, so will have seen him more than anyone at Blackburn, especially when he's match fit. He also seemed to be one of the top teenagers when he played for all the England youth teams, and would seem a bit strange if he managed to do that while having a bad touch. For half a mill, if he sees out the season just working as hard as he has done so far and we stay up, he'll be a step up, even if he just becomes a bit of cover next season after the striker clearout. We were obviously scrambling for someone once he knew he had to act on Mmaee and Schumacher realised despite what Campbell was telling him, he couldn't play there either. And in a market where it seemed there were no strikers moving in the Championship, 500k for him seems fine - because without him, we'd be in a right old mess

Thought he showed lots of promise. Firstly he actually seems to give a shit, a big upgrade on others we have.
Seems to be an instinctive shooter, effort, 1 goal out of 2 games. What’s not to like. I think he’ll get better and better

My sense is this one won't work out. we're listening........ I think he could be a good signing. I was a bit harsh there. What I really meant is I don't think I'm going to enjoy watching him play very much. But maybe someone to run around and make a nuisance of himself is what we need in our position right now.

If QPR go down I'd make a cheeky offer for this lad, would love to have him in the squad. With Jessica, I think he can improve but as others have said his first touch is pretty bad and he gets pushed over a lot, doesn't have much presence about him. Seems like he can finish though, loved his turn and shot from the edge of the box first half.

He’s everything we haven’t got up front in work rate and commitment I like him The goals will come the fitter he gets Also it’s the space he creates when he goes because he takes defenders with him which should bring others into the game He’s also strong on the ball and quite quick IF he satays fit he will be an asset Let’s give him a few games be fire we hang him out to dry shall we 😂😂

Didn't realise he was only 20 - he's bullying defenders already. He's going to be a beast. The single striker role is a pretty thankless one and although Armstrong did a better job I thought Ennis acquitted himself well. Made a nuisance of himself and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. I agree Ennis playing alongside Armstrong would be a very interesting proposition.

Considering he’s barely played this season and is clearly rusty as a result I thought he did fine and there’s more to come from him.
There’s several times he was chasing to get the ball and harrying them and I was thinking to myself there’s no way Campbell would be doing the same.

Some people like that type of striker and hang off it, I can see the benefit of them in certain situations but think you need more at this level going forward. He is what he is - a 500kish punt from a fellow struggler in the league and an unproven striker at this level. It generally doesn't get you very much at that price point so anything is a bonus. If he scores a few between now and the end of the season he would have paid for himself. Armstrong is potentially different gravy though. I'd happily pay a significant amount of money for him.
