Didnt hear any songs about SS
There were two very aggressive disagreements by us in S02, one so much that I switched seats with my lad (14) as it threatened to boil over next to us - it calmed but was edgy.
Behind it kicked off a lot (later on in game), police removed one chap, his mates v pissed off and it nearly boiled over to fisticuffs bar others stepping in.
We were walking down the stairs when Burger came over, felt for him (and Gooch who took him away) - dont think the fans were abusing him personally but the effort of the rest
Was a bit tetchy on the car park, a lot of pissed off (and pissed) people. Police did a decent job calming an incident with a steward.
All in all, and as succinctly put by my lad, it was 'fucking shite dad'
(Told him to watch his language, he said 'its OK, its an away game, I'm allowed' 😂)
He wasnt wrong though.

Six or seven years of regression and failure has left the vast majority of our fanbase with patience wearing incredibly thin.
I am not sure that we can complain about supporters verbalising their disappointment. In fact, I would say that we have been incredibly patient bearing in mind the last few years.
It is unacceptable that a club of our stature with our resources is staring at the possibility of playing in the third tier again.

When we last went down from this division we were skinny Leeds, Forest and Leicester all went down but had the excuse of idiot owners putting in no money

Was right at the back of the upper tier. I was toward the back of upper tier and never heard it (would have been disgusted if I had). It can only have been a few drunk idiots, like the ones who sing about Kenwynne selling watches on the beach. Let’s concentrate on more important things, a performance and a result on Wednesday.

Against QPR, back the players come hell or high water and give the Directors pelters at the end?

We have incredibly rich local owners, amazing facilities, and a passionate fanbase. Yet, here we are. 😅

large lads day out following , which anyone who travels away regularly will know often doesn’t end well , that together with the toxicity around the club with worrying performances and results ..all ingredients for the perfect storm…and so it proved ..no surprise TBH As I approached the ground plenty giving it large and looking for confrontations which largely weren’t there , all very sad heated debates started around us before the game even kicked off .. the first half performance fanning the flames , listening to the same squabbles for 5 minutes was bad enough , but when it continued on a loop unabated for 90 mins , it’s perhaps not surprising that elsewhere people put an end to it in the only way they know ..crowds can be volitile places The negative songs started early , some take a gallows humour pleasure in them , for others it’s venting frustrations, IMHO they only help to split the support further and tend to result in arguments and even fights breaking out as tensions inevitably rise Didnt hear any anti Scouse stuff , but it’s something I’ve been expecting since day 1 , I’m sure it’ll come , the question is only when ..taking umbrage isnt a hill I’m looking to die on ..we’ll see All in all a frustrating and concerning day both on and off the pitch , as always some will always look to justify poor behaviour ..but not unexpected and nothing that sadly ive not seen numerous times before over the years . The first half , especially the game plan was dire , and although the 2nd was better , the missed penalty took away any serious edge we had to any potential fight back ..and we were largely flat as their game management easily ran down the clock Completely agree mate👍
