Vince Overson, Mama Sidibe... I’m guessing Simon Sturridge was under Lou at Brum too. Think TP had departed Gills by the time big Mama signed for them? In fact he was managing Bristol C at the time of Gary Megson’s last match in Nov 99. “In August 2002 he joined Gillingham, for whom he scored 13 goals in 115 matches. When Gillingham were relegated at the end of the 2004–05 season, Sidibé declined the offer of a new contract”. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamady_Sidibé

Don't understand why it would wind you up. Some great Stoke players have been signed by former managers. Lou/Nigel Gleghorn and Alan Ball/Lee Sandford are just two off the top of my head. Alex Neil/Daniel Johnson another.

So long as he’s better than Mmaee and Vidigal. He has insane speed which is a plus on it's own. Him and Million are absolutely rapid..stops us being so one paced. One thing all defenders hate is sheer pace, how long is it since we have had that in attack? Now we have 2 Just need our midfielders to pick out their runs hopefully and stop passing sideways...

Anyway, welcome Niall. Certainly feels like we’ve got a better squad than we did before the window. Be some disappointed players not making squads for the rest of the season.

Got a good feeling about this one. A confidence boosting early goal is always massive…… Remember thinking that about that tool Jesé when he scored against Arsenal and look how that turned out…

Scored goals last season under Schumacher...why won't he do it again? League 1. Scored 0 in the championship Gayle scored plenty in the Championship. How did that end for us?

Got a good feeling about this one. A confidence boosting early goal is always massive…… Staying fit for 90 minutes would be a start.

Is he fit to play now or currently injured? Sentinel say he'll be in the squad at the weekend. He was on the bench for Blackburn on Monday night

We've needed gazelles for what, forever? My dream lineup would have 10 of them out there with 4,5 more on the bench. 90+ minutes of blinding hell every match. Octopus in goal for the obligatory leaks. Leave a trail of coronaries, muscle-pulls and shocked views on life in our wake.
If you PRACTICE it, you can PLAY it. Schu out there yelling "FORWARD!!!" is gold, it really is. Damnit you guys went and did it again, now I'm worked up. This could be brilliant.

Got a good feeling about this one. A confidence boosting early goal is always massive…… Staying fit for 90 minutes would be a start. Well we’ve put up with Campbell not being able to play for 90 minutes for years So what is there to lose At least Ennis could be an impact sub and is quick

Hope he does well but can’t help but feel this is one of those signings that shows how far we’ve regressed. Happy to eat humble pie if he ends up doing the business.

For me this actually feels like progress. We've signed a player that can actually play the way the manager wants to and we know it before a ball has been kicked.
