Yes but Dembele isn't going to face Hoever every week is he. Junior and Gooch would also have struggled against Dembele in my opinion. That's not to defend Hoever in any way. He was absolutely shocking. Junior dealt with him in the away game well enough

Junior dealt with him in the away game well enough I like Hoever and contrary to what some posters seem to think he did some good stuff on Saturday amongst the bad but Dembele seemed to beat him with ease almost anytime he wanted to. Having seen Jack Clarke do the same with him on at least a couple of occasions I can only conclude that you need something better when you come up against the top quality wingers in the division. Interesting to see who gets the nod at the weekend, could Junior be back and available, Cameroon could be out by Wednesday morning.

There's no defence for Hoever on Saturday at all, he was woeful in all aspects of his play. He's consistently had gaffs in his game all season but the catalogue of them at the weekend was alarming, to the point I was wondering if he had any bets on the game.

Yes there was plenty to be so annoyed with that you might have been too far gone to see anything he did well but there were moments. It’s always going to be very difficult to defend him when he’s not producing output going forward anyway. It’s why you pick him and it’s been a long time now since there was any.

The sooner Tchamadeu is back the better and if we can I'd send Hoever back to Wolves and stick with Gooch as back up for this season. Last season I didn't rate him as a defender but going forward he was much better. He's not even going forward well this season and brings nothing to the team sadly.

One thing he did do well is he got back and covered when Stansfield got in behind the centre backs playing statues again in the second half. He showed good anticipation and turn of speed. Unfortunately other than putting his shirt on the right way round that’s the only thing I can remember him doing well. When he was limping around just before half time with his body language screaming ‘take me off please’ the manager should have obliged.

Dembele was their best attacker yesterday. Everything Vidigal isn't as a wide man. I'd swap the two yesterday. Vidigal is absolutely not a wide man is he? The fact that Leris looked a massive improvement on him tells you all you need to know.

Leaving the ball to go out for a throw in when it was clearly a Brum throw in was absurd.
