We have been given a footballing masterclass from a far superior team today. It just shows how far we have to go. The ball was their friend to us it was a red hot potato.

Ivo really doesn't have a left peg does he! Doesn't look like it but it doesn't stop our defenders keep giving it him on his left peg..

As long as no injuries all that matters. Good to see everyone get a run out

What's that famous saying we can concentrate on the league. No doubt as a reward the players will get warm weather training in Dubai during the free weekend.

They smacked 4 goals past Spurs last week. They’re a consistent top 10 side in the best league in the world and we’ve given them a game today. Proud of the boys. You could have been a fan of any champ team that stoke played for 10 years, just 7 years ago now isn't it? That's what's hard to swallow.

Brighton are a top team.
Take the loss and get the win next week.
You always want to win every game, but we aren’t going to win the cup.

Lots of positives vs a very good Brighton team.
Energy levels are improving...far more pride being shown...some very decent attacking play in spells.

What lol 🤣😆🤣 He sees it, shuffles, then as slow as molasses dives. Not having that. How many of our defenders picked up the runner and competed for the header? Decent header into the bottom corner hardly the keepers fault. Defence have been poor, not one of our centre halves is any good, hopefully just rustiness with Iversen (he should have saved the 3rd, it wasn't difficult). As said on other three lad, Tchamadeau is only player who should start in next seasons back 4.

Gulf in class showed in the end. They took their chances well. I’m never happy to see us lose but we need to concentrate on the league.

We know that Iverson is a club signing rather than the manager’s one but hopefully the coaching staff can knock the dust off him and liven him up. Please tell how "we" know that? You’re right about dusting him down though ……he hasn’t played a competitive game this season and relatively few 22-23. He’ll come good though.

Whats a neutral..Happy clapper? Anyone who doesn’t have an agenda against Stoke 😊 What possible agenda against Stoke has to do with saying a new rusty keeper is not having a great game is beyond me but then again ive only been a fan for 50+ years ....

Decent today, at least we went for it. Beaten by a very good team - Iversen little chance with Pedro’s header having seen the angle behind the goal! Junho and Burger - enjoy them while we can, both superb.

Well it’s early days but Iversen’s kicking looks pretty poor…… He doesn't look too comfortable on the ball, Ive got a feeling teams will target him if we try to play out from the back.

Not too bad first half, gave us a footballing lesson second half. No shame in losing today, BHA have taken some big scalps this season. BHA are a decent team with some big lads in their side. We did our selves a few favours today. Starting to look a bit more organised as a team, just need a bit more punch and have to stay alert at the back. Now on to more important things and to consolidate our Championship staus and improve our finishing.

Junho and Burger were immense today.
Wesley need to go as he has a golden chance at 1-0.
We have the nucleus of a very good team and a manager that clearly knows what hes doing but we need to fill some key areas.
Good effort and nothing to be ashamed of.

I’m not despondent about the loss, kept going forward and Schumacher will have learnt a lot from it. Brighton are a very good team so no disgrace. Get some good additions in this window and we can build.

No complaints from me.
We tried to go toe to toe with a very good Premiership team who were near full strength and we were in the game up until 20 minutes or so from the end when they took control as we visibly wilted and gave us the runaround.
Fitness is clearly an issue thanks to the dick head previously in charge but I'm confident that will come and at least this manager sends the team out fully committed to try and win a football match.
Leicester are head and shoulders above anything in the championship but Brighton are different gravy altogether.

Ok I’ve had my fun . First goal - McNally only partially got out to close down . Wasn’t brave enough to take one for the team and semi turned his back . Second goal was a set up error allowing a short corner to go unchallenged. No particular player at fault . A tactical error . Indeed they subsequently had another corner and we didn’t station a man to stop it . This should have been sorted at half time as Brighton did a short corner routine in the first half . Third goal - McNally body position at fault but I think Iversen should have saved it . Fourth goal looked offside to me . Overall we have a very good account of ourselves. Iversen ? Kicking can only improve. He is two footed it seems which is a plus . Had Bonham been in goal this board would have crucified him . So on his behalf I got the first blow in !! ( lol ) . This cundle guy looks about 13 years old btw !!

Brighton are a top team. Take the loss and get the win next week. You always want to win every game, but we aren’t going to win the cup. This. We did OK but they’re a division above sending out a strong team. What they did do is show where we’re really lacking. - We need a proper striker. Wesley is very poor and has no energy and totally lacks a footballing brain. - We need a dominating CB. McNally was really weak today aerially and on the floor. On the plus side we have the making of an excellent midfield with Burger, Bae and Baker. We’re definately moving in the right direction. Hard to judge Iverson. Don’t think he was at fault for any of the goals but did look a little rusty with his kicking.

No doubt Brighton are a very decent team but we gave them a game today, you could see from the reaction of their manager, he was very pleased to get that result.
Credit to our team and manager for attcking when we had chance but we need more goals from open play.
We play Rotherham next, bit of a difference in the opposition, be nice to score 2 or 3 and keep a clean sheet !

Home draw please

Don't really see how you can be angry/disheartened by that.
The arrow is definitely still pointing massively upwards. We did really well until the third goal went in
They are a very good team who've beaten lots of teams better than our squad filler.
Hard to argue that we don't need a centre-half and striker as well as the gaping hole down the left.
