The sensible thing would be to re-appoint Eustace He would have to be desperate to want to work with the people that dumped him, like a bag of dog shit in a bin, for Rooney though. BM

Another terrible manager whose only chance of being employed is for things he’s done as a player.

Cooper has already had talks with them hasn’t he so you’d imagine he’ll get the gig🤔 Looks like Rosenior was the brains behind the outfit when he was at Derby then and did well I think having the right people around you must be a big part of being a good or even great manager, all the way up to Ferguson and Guardiola. If Rooney got the right people around him, a managerial career could work for him.

Can’t say I’m surprised, he’s never really animated on the touch line or encouraging his players or trying to motivate them- at least Ive never seen it.
5th rate manager.

If Rooney speaks to the players in the same way he speaks to the media it’s ever likely they’re not doing it for him.
Uninspiring is being kind to the bloke.
Eustace sacking aside I was speaking to a bluenose I know yesterday and he was saying there were a number of issues from the off. Sounds silly but a few commented on the fact he never really wore the badge at any time, always his own clothes and not the Birmingham training gear, he and the management team travelled separately with the players to away games which didn’t go down well with them, also they were bombarded with tactical information to the point where they hadn’t got a clue what they were meant to be doing at certain times during games.
Basically a disaster from day one ……

No surprise. Wonder if they could get Steve Cooper? Lee Carsley a good shout. He's a Brummie too, isn't he? Would be a sensible appointment if they could persuade Carsley. Cooper will be waiting for the Palace job I reckon….. Or Newcastle when they fail to get in the top 6.

Argyle still haven’t appointed Schuey's replacement. The could be in the mix for Eustace.

No offence to Birmingham but surely Cooper will have his sights set a bit higher than them? Can’t see Carsley fancying it either.

An obviously batshit appointment at the time. I think most football fans would have told you this was going to happen. Not so sure it was an obviously rubbish appointment. At the time I thought sacking Eustace was a poor and very harsh decision but Rooney had done an admirable job in difficult circumstances at Derby and I expected him to do ok at Birmingham.

And that lacking articulacy - let alone ideas - is the death knell of any inspiring football manager.
