At no point in their history have Plymuff ever been a big club. Vale are bigger than Plymouth. They simply aren't Pair of them are the size of a pecker in a blizzard.

Personally I think this will be a disaster. Just won’t be able to cope and step up. Who ever took responsibility for this will have to be axed. Got Nath all over it.

Can spot gloryhunting parasites a mile away. Argyle are clearly his second club. There's a mixture of emotion on that thread on pasoti, a lot of anger and people hoping we get relegated, but others are more pragmatic and accepting. If Schumacher is the success we all want him to be here and he gets poached by Everton, how will we react? Be grateful for what he has done for us or hope he burns in hell? Football fans really are utterly deluded about the people who's job it is to WORK for our clubs. BM All the same mate after reading some of the comments on their forum about us and our city, I hope the fuckers end up with Nathan Jones and he takes them back down to the lower leagues where they belong. Well for a bit of balance how about this one on the same thread; We might not like it, but Stoke are a bigger club than us in pretty much every metric. Finance, Infrastructure, Historical league positions, etc. If we look at it objectively, this probably is the right opportunity. They're massively underperforming for where they should be, and he'll back himself to turn that around and then move onto the prem in a few years, will it work out for him? Who knows, but it makes sense for him to try. Their financial clout and location will make attracting better players easier, he wont have to travel as much for games. He'll be closer to his home town, friends, and family. And whilst people seem to want to call Stoke a shithole (like some areas of Plymouth are any better?) there are some very nice areas around there. Even if he fails at Stoke, he'll walk into another L1 club afterwards.Does that move them up to one place above the relegation zone? BM

No, his first job is to drop Hoever! Look a bit silly if he doesn’t won’t you. Think it’s what’s known as painting yourself into a corner. no, not really. It's an observation that I have made over watching a number of games both at the match itself or also on Sky. He leaves far too much space behind in which opposition players revel and has cost us a number of soft goals. Any new manager who watches our recent games you would think would certainly consider somebody better positionly.

They continue to take it well pasoti.co.uk/threads/schuey-to-stoke-city.126090/page-66Ever since Pullis and Shawcross told the world it was an accident that Aaron Ramsey got his leg broke (it remains the most blatant assault I've ever seen on a football pitch), I've despised the club, this is the icing on the cake. We're all gutted as we thought he'd leave us for a bigger better club. Stoke FFS Taking it well and blind too.. blatent assault my arse....

Let's hope his entourage come with him because he doesn't stand a chance working with the current clowns. 100% , he will be drowned by Martin and jared with their abject incompetence if they are allowed , he needs to bring the dof football with him otherwise he’s destined to fail

Pair of them are the size of a pecker in a blizzard. I always saw Plymouth about the same size as say Bristol City or Reading , prob a bit less so.

Absolute disaster of an appointment.
Fishing is the same cesspool of shit again.
Achieved nothing in his playing career.
Decent record at Plymouth but in a shit League see NJ.
Leaves a club with 10 defeats this season to join a club with 11.

I have to say this appointment doesn’t fill me with confidence. Obviously I’ll support him all the way. But my guess is it will turn to shit. I have my concerns. But I don’t work for SCC, I just pay to turn up and watch the football club. I’ll support him no matter what as I did and have done with every manager despite what I think. Seems to make the home a fortress based on his two years of management of Plymouth, but less so away from home. It’s going to be interesting to see how the next few months unfold.

👍 Great. We agree then, it’ll work out. I honestly don’t think you can play a player with so few attributes especially to lead your attack. We’ve had some duds try to do it but Wes has less attributes than any of them. There’s a player in there somewhere. Brazil don’t hand out caps for shits and giggles. If we can just get him to hold the ball up for others to run past with it then I think the unit would be successful. I don’t see Mmaee as a focal point and we don’t really have anything else. We’ll see what players are interested in joining a bottom half Championship team on the cusp of a second half of the season relegation fight. I can’t imagine we’ll be bringing in top quality strikers this window.

Given their geographical advantage of not having any bigger clubs in proximity they should be a much bigger club than PV but reality is there isn’t a lot between them. There is a massive difference mate. They have had capacity crowds of 16,500 pretty much every game for 12 months. Their average crowd this season would be well over 20,000 if they had the space. When would that EVER happen at Vale? Biggest city in the country never to have had a top flight football club. BM

To be fair to the Plymouth fans there’s some very level headed posters that understand the pecking order and reality of the situation.
All managers know that providing you don’t completely fuck things up like Jones and Neil, you’ll be given everything you need to succeed as a manager which includes time.
Our budget will be probably better than anyone in the division that isn’t receiving parachute payments and it’s pretty much a no brainer for Schumacher to join us over them.
If Schumacher is as good as Plymouth fans say he is then hopefully we stay up comfortably playing attacking football and build from there. I’d have been agnostic on an appointment like Eustace but Schumacher has me excited.
