Gut reaction is oh ok, so not Nino then… Probably been dreaming a bit too much tbh and the more I think about this, it’s actually a bloody good choice for us.
I’ll back him 100% to get a fire lit under this team and bugger of the wage thieves.

I’ll put my hand up now and say good appointment. A risk but a progressive rather than a safe choice. If it goes tits up I’ll not be criticising with hindsight Problem we have is that if he is a success he may well jump ship for Everton at some point. It would be a nice change for someone to poach a manager from us, it's been a long time since we had a manager that other clubs actually envied. It would also mean he'd been a success here and that in turn we'd see some success, it's been a while!

Another British manager who has done well at a lower level.
For once in my life I would have loved a manager who gets the whole club excited.

I like the fact we seem to have interviewed numerous candidates for the job and not just gone for the first name on the list. Hopefully it pays off. We are due a decent manager surely and hopefully Schumacher is the man. Goarrn Stoke!

If it happens let's give the board some credit, it's a really positive appointment and shied away from the usual tried and tested. Yes it's British again, but an ambitious one at that. They deserve some brik bats at times, but not on this one. Well done..

£500,000 compensation seems very reasonable.

I was happy with the appointment of Rowett, Jones, MoN and Neil and have therefore backed John Coates’ decision making. I’m not sure I get this one so I hope he’s right and I’m wrong because I might not be alone in this.

If it is Schumacher then let's hope he wasn't riding someone else's wave. I would rather a manager who has spent a few years at a club and been successful rather than just 12 months. Preston have been doing well so he may well have been left with a very good team at Plymouth. It's getting to the point where we just want someone to come in and get to work now, get ready for the transfer window and hopefully we can kick on. It’s ok saying that but as I remember Plymouth we’re a bit up and down until Schumacher took over then they were more consistent The problem with a lot of managers is they seem to do well with players that aren't theirs then it goes to pot when they start bringing their own players in. I just want a competent manager who is good at creating a team as well as getting the best out of a bunch of players that aren't theirs. I hope Schumacher is the real deal, it's about time we got it right.

It's a risk, but so is any appointment. AN came with a good record and Sunderland fans weren't happy, given a free hand but we are where we are.
Young manager with a decent track record so let's give him some support and hope it pays off. What else can we do?
At least someone is in place for the busy Christmas and New Year period and with a transfer window.

They deserve some brik bats at times, but not on this one. Well done.. I’ll obviously back him but I’m not sure I’d classify it as ambitious. I’d say Neil was, peeling him away from Sunderland but Plymouth are 3 points above us. Unless I’m missing your sarcasm?

I don't think Nino, the former waiter at Bella Napoli would be a good choice Still better than Neil though and excellent Tiramisu

This sums up the past week beautifully. The Duality of Stoke fan. Haha, he's deleted the tweet ffs. If you don't know his style of football, then why bother with that first tweet? We don't have a God given right to managers like Nuno. We're bottom 6 in the champo ffs.
