The I'm not going again merchant's if Eustace gets the job pathetic give the man a chance . It’s not just the Eustace appointment, it’s the absolute lack recognising mistakes, common sense, care about the fans and direction on over the last few years. Appointing a very underwhelming manager is just the cherry on top of the cake. Still pathetic , moaning about a potential new manager who might be ok. No one knows do they ?

Appointing a very underwhelming manager is just the cherry on top of the cake. Things have been shit and so they’ve sacked Neil, they’ve made mistakes in the past and have even repeated mistakes. They will appoint who they think is best for the job and that may well end up as a mistake too, but whoever gets it should still be given a chance. Whatever has gone before has nothing to do with the new manager. It really is pathetic to stop going on the basis of someone being appointed that you disagree with.

I’m dissapointed that we’re not going for a sexier name but if it’s Eustace he’s got my backing and good wishes.
It’s a bit shallow to give up on him before he’s had time with the players.
There’s a few things that give me hope for him if he gets the gig
1- The comment about him being an excellent coach.
2- He actually wants to be here.
3- He’s young and not one of the usual merry go round of names
4 - He actually seems a nice guy with no ego like Neil
5 - While at Kiddy Eustace transformed the side's style of play, with the Harriers being dubbed the "non-league Barcelona". Eustace led his side to the play-offs in two seasons, as well as the First Round Proper of the FA Cup. So he doesn’t just play one way.
6 - He knows the club

If true, then it's an absolutely bone-idle, lazy, uninspiring decision showing a complete lack of ambition and lack of connection to what most fans want to see for their club. But then what do we expect from this chairman? Wish he'd get some proper football people in to run the club and take a back seat when it comes to appointing managers, he hasn't got a clue What do most fans want to see? Pie in sky names that are never going to be interested like Potter because that was just cringeworthy.

If Eustace gets the job then I'm out. Not going to another match again nor am I paying any money into the club via the store. I'll listen for free on the radio instead. And if we start regularly winning games? Why can't you just give whoever it is a chance and see what happens before throwing a tantrum?

All this I’ll never go again is ridiculous! What happened to “we’ll be with you”? Managers come and go, you support the club regardless of who the manager or the players are! I seem to remember when Eustace got the sack, a fair few Stoke fans were calling for him to get the job. I am disappointed the club hasn’t taken a risk but I think at least Eustace wants to manage us and do well for the club as opposed to the wages that we offer like recent managers! Nothing is official yet but if it is Eustace then alls we can do is get behind him. And for all the ones who “are done with the club”, don’t bother returning when we’re successful whenever that may be. 'We'll be with you' was a song written, I think, for our League Cup Final appearance. Not really relevant to today. There will be plenty of people wanting to manage Stoke City, it's a fantastic opportunity. In my opinion, Eustace appears to be a Run of the Mill candidate and if he wasn't a former 'player' would hardly register with most supporters.

I've got nothing against SJE but I doubt he's the right fit for us at this present time.
I'd rather we carry on with Gally and Shawcross as a stop gap and wait for Steve Cooper to become available.

Eustace is a villa fan, maybe he wants a break from good football to come watch an old crumbling shitshow on a cold sunday morning.

If Eustace gets the job then I'm out. Not going to another match again nor am I paying any money into the club via the store. I'll listen for free on the radio instead. Each to his own, it’s a free country. If he’s appointed he’s going to get my full support from day one. And if he can turn things round then I’m equally sure that most of the doubters will be swayed pretty quickly. And if we start regularly winning games? Why can't you just give whoever it is a chance and see what happens before throwing a tantrum? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the club to start winning again and I'll be the first to hold my hands up. But, and this might just be the jaded cynic in me speaking, it's not going to happen with Eustace is it? To be honest, I'm just so sick and fucking tired of the same old shit every couple of years. Employ a shit manager, suffer a season or two of plodding, turgid football with no attacking prowess whatsoever whilst we perpetually languish in the bottom half of the Championship and then when the crowd turns they start all over again with the same fucking formula.

So who would stop you from walking away without giving it a chance? Realistically.

FFS is there really no room for a bit of romance any more
I think that *in the context* of us being curse-inducingly shit, our owners not knowing what they’re doing, it not mattering who the F we appoint and us being almost certainly destined for the third division sooner rather than later, this would be rather lovely.
I absolutely love SJE, we were privileged to have him as a player and if he comes as manager it’ll put a little spring in my step for a week or two 🙂

If he's appointed and it's looking increasingly likely then that's all the motivation I need for me to pack it in and find something else to do on match days. Call ya self a Stoke Fans, you have no idea what the man can do. Absolute insane comment. Grow up That’s his opinion n that’s mine. Call yourself a stoke fan settling for mediocrity

He's had a month or so out to lick his wounds and will be ready to bounce back & pick up where he left off..

I'm at the stage where I'm not bothered who is appointed as long as they get a few games in before the transfer window opens. We have gaps that need filling, particularly in defence. We leak goals and can't score, not a winning formula.

If he’s appointed all I can say is Coates OUT If he's appointed and fails it's fair to say the fans should be shouting Coates OUT. Eustace would get a fair crack from the fans just like any other manager but I don't think he will have long to keep the fans onside. If Eustace is our number 1 target I'm hoping Gally has a blinder against West Brom. He didn't have a lot of time to prepare the team for Swansea and in all fairness we reduced them to very little and should have won it if not for Bonham. A better performance against West Brom would certainly make things interesting and Gally might have the fans on his side by the end of the match if we get a good result.
