I'll probably be the oldest member at 87. I've been here since about 1950. I think we've found our poster-boy! And with an unfeasibly cool nickname!

Do I count. Been exiled in Devon since 77 but went most home games from 63 to 69 then joined the navy. Have checked on the very complicated rules and assuming you were ribbed mercilessly while in the Navy, and provided you have a club crest tattoo (from a sleazy parlour in Pompey or Plymouth) then you're in. Was ribbed mercilessly by a Leeds fan on my first ship HMS Bulwark in 73-74 Then came the 3-2 epic in Feb 74 which we listened to on World Service crossing the Atlantic. He never said anything again about the Potters. No Stoke tattoo I’m afraid….just Mild & Bitter on arse cheeks.

I'm definitely in, first game 1955 at the Vic with Mum & Dad, lifted over the turnstile and had to sit on Dad's knee in Boothen Stand Block C. Flask at halftime always smelled funny, hot coffee with a generous portion of rum ! I was 5 years old then, 73 now and living in Portugal but me and her still have season tickets used by family but we get over when we can. Is this a new start up of N70, I'm in although not as good at faytin nowadees. Not sure about the N70, but if you hang on a few years you might be leading the notorious and much feared Batey 80.

First game, April 1964, Stoke v Liverpool. 3 - 1 Stoke. 9 years of age, standing at the front of the Boothen, wearing my red + white bobble hat and scarf, rattle in hand. Remember I had to put my hand through the railings so I could use the rattle. Can’t remember who scored for the life of me, ( can’t even remember my own name sometimes😁) but I’m sure Big John must have scored that day. My hero.. So if I’m allowed, I’m in.

First game 1964, Stoke 1 Bolton 2. Butler street paddock. Die hard Stokie since but always had a soft spot for Bolton. Can I join please, as long as there's no membership subscription, pension don't stretch that far.

August 16th 1969, West Ham. We won 2-1. My 12th birthday. I was a Man Utd fan, as were most of my school mates in the late 60’s. Going to stoke with my cousin opened my eyes to stoke city. West ham had, hurst, Moore and peters. Stoke had banks in goal, all England World Cup winners and stoke won. That was me hooked for life, suddenly a real team I could go watch to support.

prototype membership badges You're our comms/publicity guru. Mainly because it looks like you don't go into a cold-sweaty tailspin at the prospect of anything more newfangled than the light and home services on the steam wireless.

First game was home v ManU sometime in the late '60s. Boring as fuck goalless draw but somehow I got hooked. Been downhill ever since: this was when all the joy went out of my life and I was condemned to a lifetime of abject misery.
And I can't stand these modern singers, moany men and whiny women, why can't they sing properly like Suzi Quatro?

Not sure of my first game but would have been just before Stan returned in 1961.

"No member shall turn on the heating in his/her home during the hours of daylight". This is further defined in Sub-section ix: "Under no circumstances shall a member turn on the heating in his/her home at ANY time of the day after 28 February (29 if a leap year) and before 1 December".

August 25th 1956 Stoke City 3-1 Leicester City Tim Coleman, Nobby Cairns, Harry Oscroft
Travelled from Silverdale by train (5p), bought a programme (3p) and paid 1d 3p to get in. So out of my 2 bob pocket money, spent all but a 1p watching Stoke. Stood at the Stoke End with dad. It was a hot sunny, humid day. Just before half time the heavens opened and rain of biblical proportions. Sheltered for about 10 minutes under a turnstile kiosk roof. Hooked from that moment on. Oh how sometimes how I wish he’d never taken me!

No he can’t be because it was Sheffield Wednesday that ended 4-4 not Blackburn & don’t remember Alex Elder playing in same team as the rest of players mentioned. Also he never mentioned Farmer Palmer playing for us in 60s before he became a VIZ comic legend. Perhaps the official archivists should be a committee to ensure accuracy of information.

I think, even then, my first game was probably away somewhere.
Our local Vicar (Edmund Richardson-Davenham C of E) would take his son to games and, knowing my love, and parental hatred of the game, would invite me along.
A Geordie born and bred the Reverend told me later that, though he and his son were striped black and white, through and through, like Blackpool rock, of all the ‘local’ clubs Stoke were his favourite. Once again organized religion ruins lives!
Within the catchment, I won’t go into too many details but..Manchester/Liverpool/NW England in the late 60’s/turn of the 70’s there were a few good players around. My favourite was Mike Pejic. To the extent that when he moved to Everton I declared I was an Everton fan (lasted about a week)
I, to my great sadness, retain nothing of live sporting events. I can give you chapter and verse on music, musicians, guitars, cars, comedy. Shows I’ve done and people I’ve met. But I only have snapshots of any of the games I’ve been to. If anything at all..
That being said, my first football memory is seeing the pitch at Main Road. The black and white comment above made me smile. We were opposite the Kippax and whilst Davenham was pretty countryside (at least then) I had never seen anything so green in my life as the pitch at Main Road. These we’re the days of ‘The Bell’ if you were ever there…you know.
Mike Summerbee’s legs as well. We had post war furniture without that much material in it.
Anyway.
I have the perfect way to take down any other codger army. We sus out their boozer (It’s probably The British Legion, if they are top notch a ‘Spoons) No colours (we aren’t amateurs) Look for a meaty cribbage game (no dominoes..Stone have ruined that for us) I slip in, half of mild, first time I claim ‘one for his knob’ I drop I had seven major spinal ops in the last ten years. Chaos ensues as the list of ailments from their team threatens to take down the NHS at a stroke.
As we leave we present each of them with a small SCFC enamel badge and, in the best traditions of the old Inter-City firms we leave a business card on their table….
Of a good proctologist.

My first game was Birmingham away - would have been early 70's - not sure of exact year.
All I know is we lost 3-1 and we scored a goal in the last minute.
I think I just qualify for the 50 years of abuse club
