Did so well to hold on in round 11. I thought that was that.

Thought heeney was unlucky not to win there, but could have lost it in round 9 he did incredibly well to stay on his feet.
Great fight keep going Nathan we’re all behind you.

I’ve just got back from the fight (2am) and I thought Nathan was lucky to get the draw to be honest…as did many in the arena…you could sense it wasn’t going to be a win for Nathan…at least he is still unbeaten.

Rematch on.
Nathan looked knackered ..Draw probably fair.
Fight of the year according to TNT and Steve Bunce...

I thought Heaney just about did enough to have won it, only just though. Paul’s did look like he was going to get him out of there a couple of times in the later rounds. You can see why it was a draw, when Heaney kept the distance he looked comfortable but got dragged into a scrap later on and Paul’s came out on top on those occasions.
They should set up the rematch in the summer at the bet365. It was a great fight and should gain lots of interest the second time around.

This fight at the Bet365 is just fantasy stuff. The small arena less than an hour down the road last night wasn't full.
Nothing to do with Nathan ... he's a top lad, and a credit to the city.
No promoter is going to take the risk of putting a big show on at the Bet365. If you listen to Frank Warren he never mentions it.

I know I'm going to get pelter's for this but Nathan is a very limited boxer. He never look's like he is going to knock anybody out, so, he has to box clever, which he does very well, to take it all the way to the judge's decision. If the rematch happens, I'm going to put my money on Paul's to win by KO because If he starts the re-match like he went about it from round 8 onwards, Nathan is not going to get through this time.
A rematch is very dangerous for Nathan and I think Frank Warren saw that last night which is why Frank was very good at defusing all the questions about June at the Bet365 or a re-match. Frank knows

Frank knows No harm in being a limited boxer if you apply your strengths really well and don’t allow your opponent to exploit your weaknesses, but I actually agree with you. For him to fight at the Bet365 he will need to be up against one of the big boys of the division and I’m not sure Warren thinks he’s anywhere near ready for that……

He isn't that big a name to headline a stadium fight for me despite the local support. You have to be a real top fighter to do that

Entertaing fight but Heaney has gone as far as he's going to go at 34. Split draw was a reasonable decision as it definitely was not a win for Heaney. Fighters in the US are on a much higher level but I do enjoy watching British boxing and it's great to see Stoke represented by a class act.

I may be being naive here, wouldn’t be the first time but in order to get those crowd numbers up could the club offer discounted prices to season ticket holders? If it’s going to happen the ground needs to be as full as possible
