Hull have some ridiculous players now.. They’ve done well no doubt about it but can’t help thinking if they don’t go up they could be in big trouble as I don’t think there owners mega wealthy. Comes accross as a big ego from his interview.

I have to say that was a better window than I expected + Million - Looks a very good addition. His pace will offer us something new. + Cundle - Poor last time out but he improves the squad. + Iverson - Jury’s out but at the very least gives us depth. + Tezgal - Really pleased he’s got a good loan. + Gayle - Good to get him off the books. Fair play to him for agreeing to move on. + Ennis - Gives us depth and potentially better than what we have. + Didn’t go silly so hopefully money in the summer to invest when there’s better value - No LB - No CB Both desperately needed. The 2 negatives on your list are BIG negatives as far as I'm concerned. I too have enjoyed the ride today but it remains to be seen how functional our business has been in the last month. The lack of apparent focus on our defensive needs is concerning given we obviously had money to spend.. unless something pops up in the next couple of hours that is.

To come in to this season with only Stevens, a recognised injured player as our only left back was irresponsible? To approach the opening of the transfer window and not to target that position as a priority was even more so? To hope that Thompson, who is a bang average midfielder at best, to hold down that position was fanciful? To even not address that position at the end of the window is reckless?!! I hope I’m proved wrong and beat the deadline but I bloody doubt it

Well I suppose the opportunity cost was getting in two speedy forwards at the expense of recruiting defenders to our fragile defence. Posted previously I would be happy with that as we arereally slow and awfulup top and goals win games.Think my issue is we’ve not bought a goal scorer just more mobile faster players. Please don’t anyone say Mmaee will thrive now, course he won’t. We desperately needed a number 9 with intelligence and presence which we have failed again to do. Let’s start looking at the out of contract forwards now!

Folk should closely at the table and Goals For and Against.
It's pretty obvious that our biggest issue so far this season is scoring goals, not conceding them.

😂😂😂The Oatcake. We go from the despair of signing nobody in the window to the utter despair of the people we do sign being shit before they’ve even done 45 minutes.
We’ve got some miserable fucking fans.

How have we not found one 🙃

At least we should be able to get goals with these two signings. Maybe Vidigal will up his game and make our front three. this is a key question.. if he can find form and finish the season how we started he’d be like a new signing.

Well, I've been bollocking on about Mmaee being the only goal threat so we need more inside forwards.
Let's see if I was right!
Like others have said, our main problem is scoring goals, not conceding them. Be nice to fix both, but here we are.

Have to wait and see how these two perform like any signing, but with Gayle going as well at least you can see some logic whereas some previous signings do leave you scratching your head. Hopefully we aren't done yet as I'd still like some more steel at the back.

We’ve got some miserable fucking fans. In the last 15 seasons we've won more games than we've lost just ONCE. An absolutely disgusting statistic. Struggle to find another club in the football league as bad as that for such a sustained period of time. For context, Everton have managed it 9/15 times and they've been shit for a few years. Even Birmingham have managed it 5 times! It's unsurprising that there's apathy and pessimism, particularly with all of these false dawns.

No LB feels like a massive miss but I guess we think we’ve enough to scramble through the season. So one guaranteed first 11 solid player who should grow and prosper with us as we wait until summer for another few to arrive feels ok to me. Better than wasting money on bench warmers to confuse the squad even further. Uber one of the current flock will flourish in addition. Maybe.

Re: Ennis
Get the sense that there's a player in there but he's been deemed too unfit by JDT at Blackburn, not good enough, or a combination of the two.
Whether SS can get more out of him here remains to be seen, but he very much feels like a League One level player and certainly no higher than the level we're at currently.
That being said, it's still an upgrade on Gayle.

Re: Manhoef
Lad could be anything, sounds like he's a fast, tricky winger with a low centre of gravity and a penchant for a long shot. But, output is largely poor.
Been the best player in a failing side, so depends on whether his ability can see significantly greater returns here. Are the people around him good enough to capitalise on his service, or to give him the space he needs to boost his goals output?

Folk should closely at the table and Goals For and Against. It's pretty obvious that our biggest issue so far this season is scoring goals, not conceding them. SS was very clear post-Sunderland that he wasn't concerned with the defensive side of things. His focus seemed to be all about converting chances. I was amazed he didn't think the gaping holes at FB position were a cause for concern. He just seemed to dismiss the issue and got back on to talking about attacking. Brave man! p.s. I note that the Plymouth fans when referring to SS use $$ instead. Is using SS really that bad? Just asking. I just find it quicker to write SS than Schumacher or $$.
