I've met Rooney - I can confidently say that Birmingham are appointing Colleen to make all their key decisions. I sat next to Coleen on a plane years ago but no idea who she was until I heard someone ask her re Wayne . She was going to Dusseldorf, he was playing there the next day or so, would have been the WC and was sent off seem to remember , I was changing plane there. Was a blonde gal with her in a baseball cap who I assume was obviously famous as she had a pic with the hostesses leaving the plane, no idea who she was. I did a Wayne Thomas in Greggs and couldn't be arsed. The only thing I remember about Coleen was that she had massive hands as she was opening her bottle of champagne

That's is absolutely disgusting to treat their manager like that. Why the hell would you sack you the manager when they are 6th in the League its abysmal. If anything you would think they would do everything. In their power to keep him. Well.i hope they go on losing run now and end up.near the bottom. Its complete madness dont understand it. Come home John Stoke City Legend. Once a Stokie always a Stokie ❤🤍

Eustace will take his time to weigh up his options and who can blame him?

Eustace will take his time to weigh up his options and who can blame him? Hope he does as that might fit with the play book here in that we are probably looking at the November international break

He seems to have turned them around as the last couple of years they have been worse than us…best of luck to him

Not that we need more motivation to sack AN but here it is, get it done. You’d think that location wise we’d be a good option. We have a decent squad when everyone’s fit and good owners. I have no doubt we’ll dawdle and he’ll go elsewhere and do well.

I think he’s done a great job at Birmingham and would definitely welcome him here.

Rooney was only any good when he had Rosinier with him
Harsh when a manager isn’t fashionable and lose his job because of it..

I can understand and even applaud most sackings of football managers.
This though? Absolute madness.

I can understand and even applaud most sackings of football managers. This though? Absolute madness. It's Garry Cook's doing apparently - the publicity-loving idiot who used to be at Man City. Amazed the money men have gone along with it though

A forward thinking board would be on the phone to Eustace today and sounding him out. Our board will be telling Alex Neil how will we did on Saturday with a makeshift defence. and how we deserved the 0-0 we went for.

I would be amazed if we haven't at least thought about speaking to him I wouldn't. In about 6 months time we might be thinking about moving it to the monitoring the situation stage. This club is akin to those people in horror films where they are being chased by a monster but then dither on deciding which way to go and inevitably get eaten or killed because of it.

We need a completely new outlook on the manager front Wouldn't be totally against it though

FFS here we go! Oatcake land AKA fantasy island. Ex player does moderately well with another club but gets the sack in favour of a big name ex footballer, Stoke are struggling (hamstrung by injuries) and the manager is under pressure so all of a sudden JE is going to be the answer to all our problems. I seem to remember the majority on here shouting about our chances when AN was made manager. He won't be coming here anyway, AN won't be sacked (for a while yet) and JE will have found another job by then. Gouranga.

If Stoke FC was a public company it would be dereliction of duty to the shareholders to not at least explore the possibility of him taking the job and his approach if interested; and if interested put him on notice not to accept another job without contacting them.
But our Board are the owners and answerable to no one except themselves. At least that's how it appears.

The word on the street in Birmingham amongst their fanbase is that JE had secretly had talks with Rangers & had used contents of this meeting to demand a pay rise with the Blue owners.
Possibly fanciful on the Blues fans part to justify the shock decision but also quite likely, especially judging how we conducted our business just over 12mths ago!
Perhaps JE isn't as squeaky clean as he comes across. May be nothing in it but wouldn't rule it out either..
