You think he’ll get them up then? Could be the difference, he'll definitely score goals and be a menace in that league. See what happens then mate and by the way I’ve always thought he’s a massive handful

I have a lot of time for Hughes and his first 3 seasons here were right up there with the best ever in my supporting time But hes done now as a manager IMO, nothing to be gained by bringing him back We need some input from an experienced defensive coach right now

Good grief Gary, what are you thinking? I like him tbf, my 2nd favourite manager after Lou. 9th place in prem, the best football I've seen us play, decent likeable bloke, just lost his way unfortunately. Played great football through building on TP’s spine. When he started bringing in his own players, that’s where he “lost his way”, and why he should never be entertained as a manager here again!

No surprise there, theyve been shocking this season Wonder if thats him done as a manager? You would think so. The move to Bradford was a little bit of a gamble. However, if he had got them heading in the right direction then they are the cliche 'sleeping giant' that could have been 'awoken'. It is hard to see where he goes after being sacked by a League Two club.

Hughes is a 2 season manager tops. After that hes as fucking hopeless. Once hes lost the spine of a team he hasnt got a clue. I wouldnt have him back although to be fair i never wanted him first time round even though we played some great football. Hes one manager who's name i never chanted for as a Stoke manager.

I always admired Les for dropping to League 2. Showed a humility and a desire to stay in the game that there was really no need for him to have after the career he's had both playing and managing. Guess that's that for him now but he'll always know he gave it everything and he had a great run really.

I watched, or should I say endured, Bradford twice this season. Absolutely dire. Awful. I really wanted them to be decent!

If it doesn't work out with Neil - and it might yet - Hughes coming back and leading a promotion charge would be one of football's great redemption stories.

Sheffield Wed fucked themselves not keeping Darren Moore. Don't even feel sorry for them. Reap what you sow.

No surprise there, theyve been shocking this season Wonder if thats him done as a manager? You’d think so. When you fail in League Two, where else is there to go? With his knowledge and contexts, he’d make a decent Director of Football I reckon. I honestly think that would be his worst role. To me, Hughes was awful with long term vision. He was great at building from a strong foundation.

Blimey, I was only touting Hughes to replace AN last week!
Seems Hughes had 14 points from 11 games. AN has 10 from 10, about to become 10 from 11.

You can improve your defence by getting better defenders or throwing more resources into defending. You can’t do the former outside a transfer window and the latter is the last thing we need given the regularity of Stoke 0. You only get a Pulis style defence by inhibiting the role of at least 9 outfield players.

People saying bring Hughes back are as stupid as those calling to bring Pulis back. Both are past it managers who the modern game has passed by and have failed badly in all of their most recent jobs. Let them go. They did well for us in the time they were here but times have changed and we need to find new heroes.
You may as well call for the return of Macari too.

Revival coming one relegation spot we desperately need them to fill but I fear he might do well there

Although if it was a straight choice I'd take Pulis because he'd at least build us another defence and get some much needed Ard buggers to sort this current mess out.

He already had a point to prove and failed. When he came to us? At that time he probably saw us as a step down. Us and Bradford.
