The parking situation must be putting a few off for night games, the options are becoming really limited. Getting home at 00:15 when you’ve got kids of a school age is less than ideal……

There’s a railway line and two dual carriageways next to the ground.
The stadium was built on the cheap and it shows.
And we allowed st modwen on trent to butcher the rest of it.
There’s no excuse for transport to be as bad as it is

I'm guessing that's where I'm parking currently. Yeah it's fine except on Saturday it's full by 14:00, so no chance of a mildly late arrival.

I refuse to park their out of principle since they put it up to a tenner, fuck ‘em. It can take an age to get away as well on a weekend as they block the exit for a bit…….

More and more people are now parking for free on the grass verges. I just know if I try it I'll get clamped.

SOT council have been making lots of cash by ticketing people on the verges for the last two games. Be warned! Stoke should address the parking / transport problems at the games as it's causing people to leave early / be p'd off, probably one of the biggest problems at the moment.

There’s no excuse for transport to be as bad as it is The railway line has been done to death and not in the club's hands and was never going to happen If we hadn't built where we did there would simply have been no ground It takes us 30 minutes to get away, pretty much the same as any ground with 20k plus although. they could filter the traffic away better but again, that's not the club's fault.

Re the Women's international
I was at the Elephant pub on the old Newcastle Rd the day of that game and was about 30- 50 fans there, going to the game obviously as wearing colours etc . Not kidding but a good 2/3 of them left after 7pm or just before . A lot were families and obviously had no idea re going to a game, never mind a sold out one at Stoke. A fair few cars went past also.
Was hardly a shock to read about the congestion etc . Obviously not everyone turned up late and some working etc but was amazed at the amount of traffic at that time heading there considering. Is common sense, 25k people heading to a venue will be busy. I spent 2 hours trying to get out of the MEN Arena once after an ice hockey game.
A bit like those who leave the pub at 2-58 on a Saturday then moan hey missed the kick off as the turnstiles were busy
I know it isn't great but oddly does happen elsewhere with big crowds

Wrote to the club recently (email address for supporters) Had a decent reply from a member of staff saying the club are on the same page as the fans and always looking for new outlets who’ll allow parking. I said it’s all well and good having a fanzone and upgrades to Ricardo’s and the west stand BUT the one burning issue amongst fans is the travel to and from the stadium. He gave me a list of current parking places (inc. Autoneum £10!!) and I pointed out it was possible to park down beyond sainsbury depot on verges (XPO Logistics?) but they now claim it’s private land, you’ll be ticketed etc I asked him if he could approach them on our behalf as SCFC would have more influence than individual fans. I’ll check with him later in the week to see if he did so - I think fans need to keep communicating with the club IMO

Dont get this at all. I get to Stoke about 1hr 30 mins before kick-off - park on the street somewhere between the Gardeners & Uncle Toms (as was) Always get a space - couple of drinks then a 25 min walk to ground- after game 25mins back to car and on way home 30 mins after full-time - what is up with people? People seem to moan about parking for the sake of it - use some ingenuity as well as your legs and there is no issue

Amazing how many cars heading to the ground 30 mins before kick off etc. I know it isn't easy to get there early for some but if arriving that late, the last thing I do is head the the car parks by the stadium and expect to get in. Same with any venue. Have allocated car park parking for most games and even then getting parked takes time unless arriving up to an hour before kick off as traffic blocking the road trying to get into full car parks

Is the car parking / traffic situation the main reason why there's a flood of evacuations at the 70th minute and above? (other than the poor performances on the pitch )

It seems to take about 30 minutes just to get out of the ground from Block 29. I've never seen a bunch of people use stairs so slowly!

Is it too much to ask to park for next to nothing, next to the ground, arriving 10 mins before the kick-off and be able to get away in 2 minutes without missing any of the ermmm 'action'?
I mean like, sort it SCFC.

Just a small thing, but in regard to getting off the south car park maybe the stewards could encourage vans and mini busses to not park in the left hand corner, over hang the spaces and block cars trying to exit at full time. This causes the queue to merge and lengthen. Also, far too many stewards on arrival standing around doing nothing and then none at the end when they are actually needed.

Came up from Herts on Saturday and did the JustPark thing in a church car park in Fenton(I think) waste of £6 really because there was loads of street parking close by but was good for peace of mind….15 minute walk to the ground, perfect really.
