How was Lowe forced out? He's 17 To clarify, I never said that he was forced out. I said that he was forced on. I should have wrote forced upon. AN clearly wanted to try Tezgel. Lowe came in to the squad when Tezgel was injured but despite needing a target man in games, we saw Gayle (for example) come on instead. I can’t see how Lowe is going to overtake Tezgel in the pecking order at present (unless Tezgel just keeps breaking down) and we already have a lot of strikers. I’d like to see Lowe go out on loan. What will he learn in PL2? yes I mis read it however I don't understand that either how was he forced on him? by who & why? or are you just saying circumstances forced his inclusion? ...sorry been reading too many of starkillers posts, seeing conspiracy theories everywhere... don't forget the new reserve team, he will benefit from that by playing against experienced players if he goes on loan then that's fine too, national league is a good standard, no idea if we have had interest in him He's still very young

Alan Nixon @reluctantnickohi, any movement in cannon deal today? I would expect someone to go close to the 1m loan fee by the end of the weekRovers still in contention? NoWho is Cannon’s preferred destination? The lad will have a say … but Everton will have the bigger say when it comes to someone meeting the loan fee figureIt’s just quite high of a fee for a loan for a championship striker that’s all The queue of interest tells you he would make a difference to someone’s season. We should try and sign him permanently even if it's the rest of the budget, he's 100% certain to be a top player and will score plenty we can try but if Everton & the player don't want that at this time then loan it is

We can't get this position wrong this season. We've had zero return from there, and we have to throw everything at that particular position. I'm hopeful Wesley and mmaee are the answer, but it could take a while for either to settle. Cannon is oven-ready.

I really don’t like AN but I doubt AN has a vendetta against him because of his age. That he felt Lowe couldn’t hold up play as well as Gayle et al suggests that he has a long way to go (not surprisingly). While I think a reserve league likely would be helpful, I do think that a competitive game would be better. Playing regularly for a team where the goal of the senior players isn’t just about staying fit seems very beneficial. Personally, I really like the 1-3 month loans that non-league clubs can do. I think that they should be utilized more. We shouldn’t ask for a fee or wage and just send them out to a club that needs them. We should just send them out for match day experience then bring them back and help them work on what they have learned.

Are we really interested in Cannon or are we trying to force Sunderland to replace Stewart quicker than they normally would?

I could see us signing both. You’d want to sign Stewart, Cannon, Mmaee, and Wesley? Yes. Wesley is a big gamble. Mmaee is untried. Stewart is injured. Would need all of them to be sure of putting out a strike force especially if TC goes to the Prem.

Seems unlikely.

Could this player not be signed for roughly the same amount as Ross Stewart, maybe with some add ons or sell on fee?
Why don't we just go all in for Cannon?

Tickled me
A deckhand comes up to the pirate captain. "The cannons be ready, Captain," he reports. *"Are,"* the captain scornfully replies

I don't agree with offering a million for a loan like Preston are, but think he would have been worth a 4-5 million bid

Interesting that Myers still seems to think we're in the hunt, but everyone else seems to be suggesting his desire to go to PNE will win the day? www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-youssef-chermiti-sulemana-transfer-27442220?123=Meanwhile, Preston North End are growing in confidence that they will be able to land Tom Cannon this summer. The ECHO understands that the forward is keen to return to Deepdale after a successful spell at the club during the second half of last season. North End have made no secret of their desire to re-sign Cannon this summer after he scored eight times in 21 appearances during his time with the club last season. As previously reported by the ECHO, talks have been ongoing between Everton and the Championship outfit throughout the summer. Cannon watched Ryan Lowe’s side take on Aberdeen at Deepdale a couple of weeks ago as a guest of Preston midfielder Ryan Ledson. The ECHO understands that while no agreement has yet been reached, talks are progressing, and should any deal be concluded, it will be a loan one.

It’s hard to understand why , if we are genuinely interested, we would be in a ‘battle’ with PNE. A fairly one sided fight I would imagine from a finance standpoint.
