I think he's called Travers not Travis, not that I've ever heard of him! Either way I'm sure he would not wish to be mistaken for disgraced former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis aka 'the hairy cornflake' 😉 Why does it always rain on us Nicely done

Dont get signing Travers on loan* unless we need the money that had been used to sign Sarkic to go towards another permanent signing. * only because the club have suggested their preference is permanent. Could we loan Travers and get a possible permanent deal included? A bit surprised we walked away from the Sarkic deal! I wonder if Ben Pearson had a word with the "boss" ?

uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/allan-saint-maximin-brink-leaving-104203418.htmlBournemouth look to sign Newcastle second-choice keeper By Mike McGrath Bournemouth are in talks over a deal for Karl Darlow to move from Newcastle United and add goalkeeping strength to Andoni Iraola’s squad for next season. Bournemouth have made initial moves for a deal which would see Darlow compete with Neto for the No1 jersey under Iraola. He has two seasons left on his existing deal at Newcastle, with Nick Pope firmly established as No1 under Eddie Howe.

What fee would Bournemouth ask for Travers? Too much?
Loan only?

On one hand, he's got 4 yrs left on his deal there - maybe on money we couldn't match? But, on the other, Neto only signed a new 3-yr contract a few months ago. So, on the face of it, no obvious reason why they wouldn't be open to a perm if they bring in a No.2 on a long-term deal? At just turned 24, Travers is far too young to sit on the bench for anyone, and needs to play games in this period of his career. Strange the reporting so far hasn't clarified if we're looking at a loan or permanent. So it's a bit confusing.

Leeds also seriously mentioned with him too if staying in the north or first team football are important . Wages will be hefty as well Mind you, no idea on what they'd be looking at for Travers.

The way this tweet is worded suggests to me that this relates to a permanent rather than ‘transient’ deal… May have some connection to discussions when the Pearson deal was completed with AFCB?

Haven’t seen much of him, but the little I did see, I wasn’t impressed. Seemed good with his feet but not a great shot stopper - let’s hope he just had a few off days here and there Funny as all the stats show he is top quality in terms of shot stopping As I said, didn’t see much of him. He did lose his place pretty early on once they got into the Prem too. Let’s hope he’s as good as he was last time he played in the championship

Alan Nixon this morning re Travers:
“Millwall have been after Travers for weeks. They thought he was coming. But now there’s dangerous opposition. It may also be a buy now rather than a loan.”

We just didn’t value Sarkic that highly. / didn’t think he was worth the money they initially asked for him.

It's time for the chitter chatter to stop on this one. We just need the sound of the trouser zip coming down, then it will be plain sailing as soon as the 'thud' on the negotiating table is heard...

Alan Nixon this morning re Travers: “Millwall have been after Travers for weeks. They thought he was coming. But now there’s dangerous opposition. Travers for £3m or so? some kind of heavily incentivised deal?
