Sorry, but there's no way we pull out of the Sarkic deal if the Travers one isn't 100% on. If he wasn't nailed on, then surely something else happened with the Sarkic deal? It would be quite ironic if Travers does to us what we did Sarkic 😂 It depends what Travers wants. I’d say the cash on offer would be similar anyway. Go to Luton and potentially second fiddle to Heaton and be back in the Champo next season anyway? Or come to Stoke and be nailed on number one with the prospect (ok ok) of promotion with a club that can then pay decent money?

Do we think Luton 'not being ready' for PL might work against them in some instances? Their ground not being deemed fit yet must be a red flag for potential signings? Depends how much money they are throwing at it in terms of wages.

Depends how much money they are throwing at it in terms of wages. I have no idea what their wage structure is but I’d guess that even in the Prem they won’t be too far ahead of us. They’ve got to spend dead money upgrading Kenilworth Rd which they’ll soon be moving out of and they’ve got to fund the new ground so you’d assume a lot of the Prem windfall will be spent on that. My guess is they’ll be sensible and build a good quality Champ side and go for the bounce season after next which would give them a much better chance of staying up as well as funding the new ground. Only my guess obvs. As far as Travers is concerned it’d be a hard one to call. Might come down to who sells the club the best🤷♂️

It's time for the chitter chatter to stop on this one. We just need the sound of the trouser zip coming down, then it will be plain sailing as soon as the 'thud' on the negotiating table is heard... The thud...the dong.....At last...hallelujah! Time for THE transfer window image

I'd put more money on Luton sinking back down the leagues and being another Oldham or Swindon than them sticking around a la Bournemouth

Time for THE transfer window image The Transfer window has officially started...it's out and swinging It may be out and swinging But all it’s shooting is a bit of bubbly pre cum Just a blob for Pearson Needs a Benidorm lady to give it a rub so it goes full splurge so much so they have to call red Adair in to stem the flow.

re Travers...
Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Stoke are keen. Depends on cost. But they have a few quid and maybe more than their rivals for the lad.

Don't know how much money we have got to spend, but most of it should be spent on a good goalie and centre forward.

Looks like keeper is becoming the biggest issue for us this transfer window.
I actually think as a number 2 on number 2 wages , Bonham did okayish when he stepped in. But he definitely played too many games last season and is a back up keeper.
Happy with Bonham as a back up, but we have to sign a first choice keeper soon . Wilmot back from injury, Rose new signing, Stevens new signing, they need to start playing, even friendlies , with our actual first choice keeper.

To be fair I think we need a couple more centre backs than we need a forward. We tend not to give them anything but scraps anyway!

Our major problem over recent seasons has been a failure to score when dominating games, we desperately need goal power.

Wasn't Travers the pilot who flew one of the Eagles from Moonbase Alpha into a radioactive intergalactic magnetic forcefield making it disentegrate into a million pieces during an episode of Space 1999 ?

Hull local paper says they're interested, and they have got a bit of cash. You'd like to think we could see them off though, especially if they've got another decent keeper who'd see himself as a contender for starts www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-city-transfer-ruben-vinagre-8615135Mark Travers is understood to remain a live target, though the Tigers face competition from other potential suitors for his signature, but Rosenior is relaxed about the position given in Matt Ingram, he has one of the Championship's most reliable goalkeepers and perhaps in the eyes of some supporters, one of the most underrated.

If this is a loan deal then we have clear advantage of showing he would absolutely be number one, would play every game If it's a permanent deal then just a question of how much Key position, we need to get this sorted ASAP get him training and playing in next week's friendly If we can't we need to get to plan C very quickly Similar with the commanding CB we clearly need Goalkeeper and defence need to gel more than any other part of the team Wheras the other signings to come, including the striker, the time pressure just isn't there. Happy to wait for those up to end of window if needs be

I can find that in the list of Eagle losses on the Gerry Anderson website but Paul Travers was the pilot of the Zero X in the feature film Thunderbirds Are Go. www.gerryanderson.com/space1999-eagle-crashes-and-losses-year-one/

Can’t help thinking that this link could be an attempt to leverage a deal for Sarkic by getting him to lower his demands.

The moral of the story is never ever get into an Eagle unless you're accompanied by Alan Carter. Although Alan Carter lost pne Eagle and four crashed Eagles. For three of those crashes he was pilot, and for one he was co-pilot. Koenig is the worst driver with 7 crashes. Surprisingly, and despite trying his best Tony Verdeschi has never once crashed an Eagle. Don't ever fly with a new character like Star Trek same outcome.
