They've done well there then to hold on for the price they have done considering he was replaced before he left, fair play

I shouldn't laugh because I've got a feeling he's still coming here, but it isn't the biggest of shocks is it? 😂

Steer well clear.
£12m for a lad that's scored a handful of goals and has failed his medical elsewhere.
What on earth were Southampton thinking?

£500k down-payment with another £1,000,000 for every 25 games he plays for us? Fair deal all around...

Lol, oh well. He’s well and truly fucked medically. That's only an insurance risk isn't it? If the scar tissue looks bad on a scan it can happen. We couldn't insure Demba Ba, but others could.

What a mess.
Sunderland were suggesting he was pencilled in to play a behind-closed-doors friendly during the international break.

A lot of noise on Twitter saying he has passed his medical and the report is false. I suppose not long to find out

What would they be checking in with that medical? The true extent of his injury or has something completely unrelated shown up do we think?

According to RTG this is false and he's signed (apparently)

Sunderland will be pissed, they won’t get anywhere near that in January Think Ross will be a bit pissed as well. Probably his one and only chance to get on the serious wedge gravy train. Whatever happens with him from now there will always be an element of doubt in any dealings.

Ba went on loan or pay as you play originally after he failed his medical with us. He'd also failed his previous medical. We tried to then take him on loan but think his agent was a bit put out

The Demba Ba comparison is very fair. The trouble is you know, being Stoke, his ankle will explode on his first training session. Buuuuuut. If we can get him at a damaged goods discount price on a shortish contract with the prospect of extensions then he might still be worth the gamble.
