They’ve got this show all wrong. Massive focus on Plymouth, which is great if you’re a Plymouth fan - but it is pretty boring if you’re not. So it just switches off everyone who is apathetic about PAFC (most of the audience). Nothing against Plymouth of course. They need to basically mix it up so there’s equal coverage of each team. Not over the season, every week. I was begging for all the Plymouth shit to end, not just so I could watch stoke but so I could see goals and coverage of the other teams in the league. The show would be a lot better if it followed a Match of the Day type format of extended highlights from each game with a bit of punditry for maybe two main games. Ideally you would have a version of that show for the Championship, League One and League Two respectively, but realistically budget would not allow for that. The best thing would be to bring back a version of The Championship show that used to run on ITV until 16 years ago, but cutting out all interviews and punditry - A 90-min show with two thirds Championship highlights, and a third of League One and Two goals only. Perhaps streaming On Demand is the way forward, where the broadcaster puts up extended highlights of all matches from across the EFL, and you select whichever game's highlights you want to watch.

At least they got in their hilarious 3 minutes worth of Hollywood puns for the Wrexham game....

It's terrible.
There is far too much opinion and far too little football.
And for opinion , they have decided on allowing no one informed but with a somewhat ( arguably ?) controversial opinion , anywhere near the show . For instance let us say , Matt le tissier or John Barnes .
So a huge helping of trivial , banal , inoffensive opinion and a huge lack of football .
It is awful

It is interesting ( actually staggeringly sad ) that , when you listen to articulate former players on you tube , such as John Barnes and Matt Le Tissier , they talk far more openly and honestly , than on mainstream telly .
It's crazy , that they are not allowed to have an opinion on mainstream telly , even though their opinion is widely reported and well known anyway .
Because the mainstream media , insists on trying to pretend the likes of Barnes and Le Tiss are 'offensive ' ( they aren't ) ...we end up with absolute drivel like this on the telly .
Ultimately , out of cowardice really , mainstream telly is signing its own death warrant ... in the end ,we will literally switch off and watch something else / do something else .

So,are you saying that you thought there were less than 15,000 in there today? 😏 I'm saying that's what it looked like on the TV. I'm sure there were more than that but far less than the quoted 22k. All season tickets get counted in regardless of whether someone turns up or not. Lots of people are still on summer hols and concession and kids season tickets are now so cheap relative to pay on the day it makes sense to buy one even if you only plan to turn up for a small number of games. I am a season ticket holder. I was there, but, as I accompanied my Mum through the gates (she uses a walking frame) rather than the turnstiles, my season ticket wouldn't have registered as being used (and neither would hers).

No point watching drivel punditry. YouTube highlights are enough for most people.

Thought I was watching Plymouth TV at least 25 minutes on them , unless they are focusing on one team every week ,and yes we were last again.

Watching this back again and just flabbergasted at how shit the show is, the focus on wank ten minute interviews with managers and players that tell us nothing.
Stick the games on, and have an interesting pundit to tell us something inciteful, then move on. That's all that's needed

I don't know why Barnes and Le Tissier were sacked but what I do know is that if it was up to me neither would have been on the first place as both are terrible pundits, boring, uninformed humourless but (especially Barnes) both with huge ego I've actually got a high tolerance level for football pundits as if someone wants to talk football I'm inclined to listen but why anyone is bemoaning Le Tissier getting the push is beyond me

The lack of efl coverage is appalling really. Every single goal scored should be on the tv- from Leicester to barrow. Every one. And that would be good tv! No need for the bullshit talking to keep some no mark ex pro or some podcaster in job.

It will and Youtube amongst other media is independent of any thought machine. If you don't like the channel, unsubscribe and go somewhere else. The quality highlights by Sky and the club on there means the Quest/ITV/Next Idiot to host it days are numbered. Especially with the awkward presenters, adverts and painful interviews.

Watched it this morning and I couldn't believe how long they dedicated to Plymouth v Huddersfield, the amount of interviews were a joke. I gave up and threw the towel in, had to be up early for work Sunday morning, all the Plymouth stuff was completely unnecessary I was just waiting for her to shove her microphone in the face of the club cat to complete the job.

The main stand holds around 7,500. If they're were, say, 4,000 in there today (which would be just over half full and which you couldn't see see on TV highlights) that leaves another 18,000 in the stadium. Rotherham brought a reported 1,500 If you were there, then it's not hard to imagine another 16,500 Stoke fans in the rest of the stadium today. Well I wasn't there but I am struggling to imagine exactly that. If we accept your 4,000 in the Main Stand and 1,500 Rotherham in half the away stand then that's 5,500 people in 1.5 sides of the ground. We'd need to find another 16,500 people in the remaining 2.5 sides of the ground all of which the front half of which looked almost entirely empty. I can't see it. It wasn't the front half though, it was just a few rows, of which some had people sitting in them

Turned it off after 20 mins of Plymouth, got sick of the mickymouser banging on.
Only needed to see how Edwards got on in that game

It is awful It seems to be the same on all sports programmes these days. I just assume it is what the younger generation wants. Sports live coverage starts an hour before any action with endless pre event chat, very little of it informative. Highlights shows also have endless chat and 50% action if you don't count the replays. With football it seems we have to have a goal repeated 6 times from 4 different angles. My wife keeps being confused that there is another goal scored! Cricket highlights are worst with loads of meaningless flashing graphics that are just not viewable. The start of the programme has clips of the previous day/match, then loads of chat some of which us speculation on what will happen that day - after its all over - then actual highlights of play start 10 minutes into the programme. Rant over
